The All-star weekend is here in my home town! The participants for the slam dunk contest are John Arigo, Brandon Cablay, Cyrus Baguio, Nino Canaleta. Arigo and Cablay missed their first attempts. Baguio and Canaleta advanced to the finals. Canaleta won. The North vs. South game starts in a few hours. Unfortunately I only be watching on TV because I dont have tickets.

Mate,
What were the five best highlights of the game in your opinion?
Cheers.

i was kinda disappointed by the slam dunk contest... i seems that every one immediately gave up in trying to beat canaleta. i was looking forward to the slam dunk because all contestants were former winners (except arigo). i was expecting alot from cablay but the best thing he could muster was a windmill. and what's up with arigo?
but anyway... canaleta was truly exceptional... it wasn't like last year but i did enjoy the dunk from the free throw line!

wow, almost 6 years ago, KG Caneleta debuted in the slam dunk contest, and now 6 years later, he still doing the exact same stuff and keeps on winning, i dont know if it speaks of KG's greatness, or the field is just pathetic! i believe it's the latter. they should have just scrapped the dunk contest, because really, unless somebody parked a Partas bus in Laoag and Rob Labagala dunk over it, or a fully drenched Erika Padilla standing over there with MarK Barocca jumping over her, the dunk contest is really just a waste of airtime.
Now about fully drenched Erika Padilla jumping up and down.....

it depends on what erika padilla would be wearing...it would also be a good idea for jessica mendoza to join her...

poor japeth, he is not injured, he is not exhausted -obviously.
But he was prevented to join the all-star festivities. It would've been good to see him in the rsj team with his gilas teammates and challenge canaleta in the slam dunk competition.
MVP doesnt care about fans.he only cares about his records and accomplishments.
JohnnyA looks better than a lot of PG's we currently have lol

i agree. nice vision and passing.
The legends clearly have a different kind of game. Their basics, smarts and skills carries them despite their age.
They have a different way of positioning and getting their spots. swabe maglaro.
It looks very easy for them.

Johnny A needs to Open a Basketball Academy. He needs to train these 10-15 yrs.old kids on how to become a very good Point Guard.
It would've been interesting if Aguilar was available in the slamdunk contest. PBA really lacks athletic guards in the mold of a Samboy, Vergel, Alvarez but a bit taller(6'3).

looks like Benjie Santiago didn't get the memo regarding the Lassiter-Rabeh trade. Same goes for those who tailored Rabeh's jersey which still sports the Petron logo
