Congratulations to them both!!!
When I first read this I was thinking that only one of them could be chosen per year and that it was unfortunate that they were finalists against each other. However, I got looking into the rules for the enshrinement process (http://www.hoophall.com/enshrinement-process/). If I am not mistaken, it appears that they could both be inducted provided they receive enough votes. There is no set number of inductees each year. Take a look and see if you agree with my analysis.
If so....this is good news. And what a high honor for Lithuania!!!! I would love to see them both be selected together. I have long said that Sabonis would be inducted in his first year of eligibility and it looks like that will be the case. Seems like Sarunas would have been eligible before. Has he been nominated before this year????? I haven't followed him like I have Sabonis.
Congratulations to Arvydas and Sarunas!!!!!
Jega!!!
