Great game by Bulgaria. After the first game-won by us 32:30 we took control tnx to Matei Kaziiski and easly beated the US.
Next game-against Iran...they can call me to play :o .

PS:voleyball is BORING if Bulgaria doest play I wont watch even 1 game.

Puerto Rico's Hector Soto has stormed to the top of the scorers' ranking

Hiroshima/Sendai, 26th November 2006 – One man has risen above his peers in the competition and is already on course to win the 75,000 US-dollar individual prize for best scorer. Puerto Rico’s Hector Soto has eclipsed the tournament’s big names to build up a commanding lead in the scorers’ table, distancing himself from his nearest rival by an astonishing 32-point margin.

Although he admits that the thought of winning the award had crossed his mind, Hector Soto is quick to point out that his priorities are with his team, who have a nobler objective in mind. "We are helping the young people in Puerto Rico to look into the sport, and that is the most important thing right now," said the 28-year old wing spiker. Hopes among his team mates that he will win the prize (he has admitted he will share it with them) remained intact today: despite today’s loss to Russia, Puerto Rico are clear of the elimination bracket with a 1-4 record, which will allow Soto to score yet more valuable points in the classification matches

First the Spain-Greece massacre and now a comfy 3-0 win for Brazil in just over an hour winning the first set by 25-12 (!) and the last 25-17.

* Brazil is the best team in World, so all teams will have problems with Brazil.
* We play without "libero". Polish "libero" before game have injury, and you see what was happen in 1st set :(

NOBODY in Poland is mad or sad - this is our succes! We didnt lose this final - we won 2nd place, and this is GREAT !!!

Philip, I am not trying to take anything away from the Polish team. They did great, and they kicked some serious butt over the course of the tournament. My respect is all theirs. But in my eyes, they lost easily in the final. Yes, they had absent and injured players, I accept that, but this doesn't cancel the fact that they lost dead easily.
