Actually, I will make it Nancy 90, AEK 10. Neither Tapoutos (injury) nor Kommatos (passport problem?? WTH?) will play in this game, but most importantly, their coach openly admitted that they don't care much about the ULEB cup and that they will prioritise the domestic league. And all that after just 3 games in the tournament! If you were not interested in the ULEB cup, why the heck did you participate in it? Yet another black page in AEK's european participation is about to be written, IMO. I hope we don't see them in Europe anytime soon after this.

What a shame, cuz their jerseys rock :D

The situation in AEK is getting worse year after year. The owner is in "war" against the fans so he doesn't invest a single euro in the team(although he is wealthy). The fans dislike the owner and sing against him in every game(whenever they appear in the arena). Recently the owner said that he heard that AEK lost to Makedonikos 3 days after the match!!!AEK signed all the players that were available and allegedly troublemakers(Kommatos, Vetoulas, Gagaloudis) to make a competitive team. It's already reported that the relationships between players aren't so good.
All these taken into consideration, I agree that they shouldn't have participated to ULEB Cup at all and I don't see any improvement unless another owner comes.I was going to write also that Nancy has 90% chanced to win but JCN was quicker than me:)
Anyway, if some of u plan to bet on ULEB Cup games, put your money on Nancy and bet against AEK in most of their other games(don't forget that 4 years ago when they lost interest in the Euroleague they finished with 1-13 record!)

Besiktas Cola Turka vs. Anwil Włocławek 2

We go to Istambul with Andrzej Pluta (1st scorer), and also with new combo guard Marlon Parmer. Now Anwil is without any problems, so if we want still fight about ULEB Cup next round we must beat Besiktas! This will be a very hard game for us, but with Snaidero we fight only with 6 players (2 from 6 was 20-years old juniors), and we lost game only by 10 points. I hope that ANwil can fight with Besiktas, and comesback to Wloclawek with smile on face :):):)

Only in your dreams :p

The possibility of Anwil beating Besiktas in Istanbul is not so small. BJK is a bad team, really. In fact, Besiktas's situation only confirms my dislike for those so-called "big", useless and arrogant clubs; namely, Fenerbahçe, Besiktas, and Galatasaray.

They always brag about how great supporters they have, how dedicated they were, etc etc. But you see none of them in the games when the things go bad, or when they're not playing against those other two.

I'll be the happiest person in Turkey, when these cancers of Turkish sports somehow quit their all activities.

Thanks for giving me this opportunity to purge my hate :p

Cleaves 14pts
Kšyštof 13pts(3 threepointers in OT)+7rebs

Hapoel 87 - Telindus Oostende 88. What a start for Umberto Badioli as a (temporary?) head-coach. And why can Oostende win against Khimki and in Jeruzalem and get their ass kicked by Lukoil and Alba,...motivation perhaps ?

What a ------- game  Im so mad now! Anwil led over Besiktas by 35-36 minutes, but they lost game :( (this same situation was against Snaidero).

We lost 74:61, and are still without victory in ULEB :( Most points for Anwil scored Seid Hajric - 15 points, 11 rebounds, but also 7 turnovers. Besiktas to victory led Ozer, who has 16 points and 11 rebounds.

2nd half: 42:17 for Besiktas  NO COMMENT !!!

I am listening to the stupipd British commentators on Eurosport2 and it alls sounds like a collection of jokes of the century Only a few highlights from what they are saying during the match "Lietuvos Rytas" vs. "Gran Canaria":

1) "The Eastern European teams (e.g. Serbia, Lithuania) cannot play zone because they only start playing 5 vs. 5 only from the age of 15. Before that age they only play 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 on a smaller court" (nonsense of the year! :D )

2) "Slezas is a point guard who was playing for all junior teams of "Lietuvos rytas"" (in fact, he is usually power forward, and "Lietuvos rytas" never had a junior team...)

3) ""Lietuvos rytas" changed all its point guards last year, so now that's their real bottleneck" (who ever changed Stelmahers????)

4) "Titus Ivory is the leader of "Lietuvos rytas"" (wowww!)

The Brits and Basketball - very poor connection.... :D

Went to another game: Den Bosch Eiffeltowers - PAOK
PAOK won by 7 due to more experience and playing a very physical game. The Dutch were not used to that.

I can imagine... :(

Meanwhile, watching basketball on Viasat Sport channels, I can say that the Swedes have a pair of really nice commentators (don't remember their names off hand ... one is a journalist and another a known coach in Sweden, now coaching one of the league clubs, it seems). They're way better than anything Lithuania ever had - they see and analyse the game, unlike our "radio-style" guys "what-I-see-is-what-I-say" .

That's a good definition of our commentators :) Imho it is somewhat difficult to be an analytical commentator in a basketball country where everyone has an opinion about things happening on court. I remember the situation when some coaches where demanding the change of commentators simply because they are saying too much, players are hurt etc. etc.. :) So the most neutral way becomes "what I see is what I say" approach... (nicely put :))

Eurobasket2 guys are trying to be analytical, and in many cases they are, but after some extreme non-senses I just cannot trust their information and analysis (especially concerning the teams I have no clue about)

according to them Dusko Savanovic (Unics Kazan) played for Hemofarm last year..
infact he played for FMP Zeleznik..
but hey, o.k. not everyone needs to know everything but just don't repeat that every time he gets the ball...
second thing, one of the commentators was persistent in calling Raul Lopez Marko Tomas.. :D :D
every time Raul Lopez receives the ball he called him Marko Tomas..
Lopez shot an incredible three pointer and once again he called him Marko Tomas eventhough the camerman showed his face and jersey number..
second commentator said to him few times that that isn't Marko Tomas but Raul Lopez. no effect... he just kept calling him Marko Tomas :D
I was so annoyed..

and from their talk, I've realised that one of the commentators is infact a bball coach in England..
he is coaching some youngsters..

According to local newpaper Telindus Oostende is talking with Sharon Drucker to become their new head-coach. would be an amazing signing, considered the oostende-budget (or perhaps Drucker received a very generous fee when Lietuvas Rytas dismissed him)

I don't think his salary demands are too big, given that at the beggining of the season he had agreed terms with Panionios.
