In the aspect he is talking about here (double teaming the post and help rotation), European basketball does not really that often have an all out double team on the low post. In Europe they tend to get close enough for the low post to feel uncomfortable when he has the ball but not committing themselves all the way. So perhaps he has a point that they don't work this as well, it is not really been drilled in as much as NBA players.
As well as the illegal defense rule in the NBA which means that if you commit all the way to double team, u can't go back to your man until the ball is passed.
(correct me if i'm wrong)
The other thing is the size of the perimeter between the 3 point line is a lot bigger in the NBA so there is more room for the low post to make a move unlike in Europe.
illegal defense rule no longer exists
now its an stupidity called defensive 3 seconds violation, where, if you are in the paint, and you cants reach a offensive player with your arms extended, you are going to get called a T Foul
stupid, but its a rule
