Height is usually might in the sport of basketball. To win a game, smaller teams (in terms of height) will rely on their speed and excellent shooting skills. But what if that team is having a bad field goal shooting? They can still win the game...... in these impossible conditions:
1. Get more rebound in order to make more shots (They're smaller, they can't get more rebound againts towering opponents).
2. Play good defense (It is hard to play defense againts taller and heftier opponents. The only way to stop them is to get them to the freethrow line).
3. Better shot selection. The easiest and most accurate shot to make is in the point blank range. They should drive hard inside the lane. (Againts taller opponents, they are prone to rejections. Expect the other team to get more stats in blocked shots).
4. Run transition offense (How can you do that if you dont have the ability to get defensive rebound because your small?)

You think of your own NT and not somebody else's NT. You should not under estimate and humiliate others. Does it matter to you if they win or lose? I guess so coz your crying like a loser!

1. Gang rebound should solve that problem. It's all about the team's desire to get the ball.
2. Double team, zone defense, trap, steals... c'mon. There are a myriad of options to defend, not just man to man as (I think) you are suggesting.
3. Yes, always. Better shot selection. And by the way, use your team. pass often to confuse defenders.

being small is not a problem....the problem is that how we can make a highly competitive team to play in international basketball?

That's definitely it. I see many Filipinos concerned with the height issue, but it has been proved in various occasions that it does not grant success.

Well it does, but it's not determinant.

yeah, phil team is strong long ago, it's just the shift of professional style of game to amateur game is a gap. it needs time to adjust and a lot of patience. yeah, we are a short team, but not much highly competitive maybe because of low exposure to an international game. and i think it's an disadvantage to make an "all-star" team.
