So what is it? My personal top game-winner is Wang Shipeng's three pointer at the buzzer vs Slovenia. Manu Ginobili's buzzer-beater v Serbia and Montenegro was pretty awesome, too. :D
Jaka Lakovič (Slovenia) vs. Italy on European Championship 2007.

Just watched that one on youtube. Almost exactly the same as Wang's buzzer-beater. :D

Not a game winning shot, but gets Germany in OT and provides a win later:

No need 2 say that is my favorite shot too...:)
Yes, the commentator says Jovaisa. Actually he said 3,2, none, Jovaisa. That's because Jovaisa was the one who missed the last shot in the 1987 final and it was like saying "he misses like Jovaisa in 1987". Or at least that's the only logical explanation I can come up with. I think Rigaudeau was the one who tried 2 shoot at the buzzer.

Thinking about it Greece have had their fair share of buzzer beaters over the years. Twice against Croatia (with Spanoulis last summer in Spain and with Charissis in Sweden), twice against France (Diamantidis in Belgrade and Fasoulas in Germany) against Bosnia in Barcelona (Alvertis) against Italy in Turkey (Alvertis), against Australia in Japan (Zisis)... and I may be forgetting some.

I am thinking he refers to Jovaisa making the 3rd 3p vs Jugoslavia in the 1986 WC semi-final. The Soviets made 3/3 3p in the final 45 seconds of the game to send it to overtime where the finally won.
Other favorites are:
Alvertis with 1.37 secs to go to send a play-off game against Olympiakos to overtime (where Oly finally won)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb6AyDjAU0k
Antonis Fotsis (9 secs) and Nikos Zisis( 1 sec) planting 2 concecutive 3p in the game vs Australia in the 2006 WC

I also reme Alvertis landing a 3p in the last sec vs Italy in the 2003 EC's in Turkey to win the game.

No, Jovaisa took a last desperate shot in the final of 1987 against Greece. He missed and Greece were champions. In the semi-final game of 2005 Rigodeau took a desperate shot against Greece. He missed, Greece won. The comentator wanted to compare it with the missed shot of Jovaisa.

I'd put three:
-Ginóbili's "shoe" against Serbia. Not just for the shot, but also for a great fastbreak by Montecchia.
-A game winner by Dana Barros, playing for żBoston?, that I can't find anywhere. Only 0.3 seconds left: inbounds pass from the left side, the pass falls into Barros in the right side, 5mts away from the basket; Barros jumps, catches and shoots in one movement, never touching the ground. Nothing but net.
-This one by Reggie Miller.

my favorite buzzer beater was MY own buzzer beater in the Summer Basketball League. Here is how it happened:
20 seconds to go in the game we have the ball down by one. We moved the ball around and the one who held the ball with 5 seconds drove to the basket. then he was fouled with 2 seconds left. the had two free throws to tie or win. I positioned at the right side of the shaded lane. he missed the first free throw. then I saw the other side of the shaded lane and noticed it was a mismatch between rebounders it was a center against a forward. I told my forward team mate that we need to switch places and we did. The second free throw was missed again. it hit the front of the rim and the opposing center was not able to be alert. I got the ball instead and shot a jump hook with 2 seconds left. after the ball went in the buzzer sounded. we all celebrated as we have won game three of the best of five championship which was tied at 1-1. it was a great great feeling because the opposing team and our team was bitter rivals like Toyoto-Crispa or Lakers-Celtics type of rivalry. :) we eventually won the championship 3-1.:)
