Australia? I thought it's Argentina.
Anyways, since Iran will go up against Argentina in the Diamond Ball, they might have a chance in winning if the roster of Argentina is the same as the one in the FIBA Americas last year.
Although, it's still unlikely because Argentina remained a formidable opponent even without Manu Ginobili, Andres Nocioni, and Fabricio Oberto. I think the remaining member of the original team since 2002 is Scola, the rest are new ones.

This is a great opportunity for the Iranians to gauge their new found confidence not only as a new asian basketball powerhouse and to find out if they're ready for the next level as world class competitor. By tradition, the 9th rank FIBA-World, Bommers of Australia are a class of their own and had gained the respect of other great basketball playing nations.
This will be a great learning experience for the Persians.
