Looking forward to that.
haha. thanks. i just added ya (danny k). i'll try to keep up with the KBL more this year...especially since no NBA.
Sure, you can add me. I need more friends to talk to about KBL.
yeah, he's lucky. i told him to take some pix as well. despite growing up in PA and living in Philly..the only time I saw Kobe play was in high school w/ Lower Merion. BTW, saw u on the LG Sakers FB page...was gonna add u on there..but wanted to make sure it was ok before doing so.
I agree. The KBL must revise that No NBA Rule. The KBO and K-League allows foreign players from other domestic leagues without restriction. You're friend is lucky to seeing Kobe in person. I once saw Kobe wayback in 2010.
they need to change that rule ASAP I think. better players means more respect around the globe. KBO allows guys that have played in MLB...in fact, they wish all their imports had that experience. Builds up the league rep etc. yeah, i told him to ask some questions about some places in Lower Merion. haha (i used to live minutes from there and once 'steak shop has lots of his pix up...guess he went there a lot...they were good steaks. haha). i met Gary Payton when he was on tour in Korea, got him to sign a soju bottle. haha
Yeah, I think they should revise that rule. NBA caliber imports means better league prestige. Waycool on your friend seeing Bryant in person.
doh. totally forgot about the NBA rule KBL has. I get my import rules mixed up between KBO and KBL etc. If they didn't have that rule, maybe they could entice some NBA guys. (I remember when Alex Scales was on the Samsung Thunders years ago, he was fun to watch.) Kobe arrives in Seoul on July 14th for a camp. My one friend's gonna try to go and interview him (he's with Yonhap).
Yeah, the lockout is quite different from 1998. Deron Williams and Zaza Pachulia are committed to playing Turkey. In the KBL, there is still the rule that an import must be three years removed from the NBA before he can sign. I don't get that rule though.
thanks. i've just been hanging around seeing whats going on in the international basketball world. with the NBA lockout, some decent names could be going abroad (ie: Deron Williams etc). I wonder if the NBA lockout is still going on in mid KBL season, if u will see some teams cut guys and go after some NBA bench players.
