Obradovic has proven that he knose how to make a good Roster.
But my opinion is that we have problem in position 3. And i dont know if it's a good thing that we have so many good guards. Who's going to play first and who's going to seat on the bench ???

Spanoulis
Calathes
Jasikevičius
Diamantidis
Nicola
Tepic

(Verginis might given to other team)
Perpeloglou (He plays in position 3 but i think he is to weak for Panathinaikos.)
Fotsis
Tsartsaris
Batist
Pekovic
Shemardini

I would like an NBA player in position 3. And one more center.
We will play with 3 guards. The favorite game of Obradovic.

I dont like that kind of game but since he has proven that is a wining method i dont mind as much as we win.

I believe that if PAO would take a strong guy in position 3 (a big name) and one more good center, then our team would be unstoppable.

Delphino is free though. But we have allready to many good players and Delphino if i'm not mistaken is playing position 2.

PAO roster closed.it must be something special to sign another one
There is a word "balance" and that exactly must follow PAO in order to fullfil his potencial. If you sign another top C someone of the team wont play too much.Or if you sing another perimeter player someone from the backcourt will stay longer in the bench.and i am not talking about players like Shermandini and Verginis.there will be "talkings" in the lockeroom. For me PAO has terrific roster, full with big talent players. Some of them are scorers some of them are rolists while a few of them can do both.Shermandini must be given a chance to shine as 5th tall player.and he will if someone give him time.and Perperoglou development was big last year and every year will be more or less like that.dont forget Obradovic and Itoudis declared the work that he is doing the summer and during the period. So there is no reason for PAO to sign another one.Let the other build new teams from the scratch.
Ofcourse if Dirk comes to europe then PAO will NEED another transfer

PS1.Verginis will go on loan.
PS2.Delfino can play also as SF.

There have been some rumours that Pao is looking into signing Kaimakoglu.

Also coach said that he's been very impressed with Verginis improvement, who btw asked himself to stay in the team.I don't think that's a very wise choice on his part,he really needs all the playing minutes and experience he can get at this stage.

And he was not playing on the C but PF.

Another interesting player transformation project for Obradovic it seems.

I have heard that Bogris is also destined for the PF position.

If you asked a year ago about Kaimakoglou I would laugh at your face but it is clear that the guy has improved his game and he wasn't that bad as a heavy SF with the NT. But still, is it enough? I don't know really.

About Verginis, after seing him last year I thought he just can't make it in this level. Let's wait and see. The fact that he asked himself to stay with all this competition in the guards shows that the kid at least is ambitious and wants to try to elevate his game which is positive. We will see if this was a wise career move though.

yeah..I'm not sure how wise this move is as well, but I've read some rumours that's why I posted this.

Well..it isn't common that the coach makes such a specific compliment to a player,so he must be really impressed by Verginis.Did you see him in Paok?I thought he was very good especially for his age.
I believe it would be wiser for him,to move to another team.I mean you can practise and improve that much, without actually playing.

I agree. But I think practising with Obradovic and Co is better than playing with many teams. But still, playing time is invaluable.

BTW, I like him at PAOK but I was not entusiastic.

PS: I just read that at the last friendly, at some point and for quite a few minutes, Pekovic played the C, Tsartsaris in the PF and Sermantini at SF where he was not bad at all!

with his abilities he could be an amazing PF in few years..He just needs strengh in order to play also in C position. But i think bogris is too slow and heavy to become a modern PF.For me he is clearly a C.But with the crazy Zelimir who knows- if a ever seen Bogris playing decently as PF then..
Obradovic keeps improving players..

no this was a fake rumor
the truth is that Greek loby started a "make match office" and Perperoglou came to us to find a wife.We put down all the data and chose her as a potencial wife. Then we FORCED him to marry her.thats all
its obvious that G.L. wants to conquer everything.

Skinny american women stealing our men!!!!!

They make such a nice couple the two of them,I wish them all the best
Well..wouldn't be the first time a woman had to sacrifice her job for the family..esp in Greece.

First it was Sermadini and now Verginis the top scorer! The youngsters have amazing showings!!I hope they give Dimitris more chances next year!

Otherwise, no loby, no party.
