Yao doesn't even crack the top 20 all-time. Now that's scary.

A guy is missing there, former Argentinian player Jorge González who stands 229 cm tall.
"González was originally a basketball player from Argentina. He played in Argentina's first division league for Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, and also for the Argentina national basketball team. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA, but apparently he couldn't handle the pace of the game, and had trouble maintaining a proper weight."

The reported height for Viktor Zabolotny is absolutely wrong! It was reported on CNN and other prestigious newsites a few years ago that he is actually 239cm tall! The reason they listed him as 222cm is because that's as far as measurements went up where he played in Ukraine. He later went to Ecuador and joined a circus!!! Speaking of Ukraine, where is Vladimir Tkachenko who is so popular on this forum?

Here's a photo of him (Zabolotny) in a circus:

Yeah, Tkachenko is also missing...
Btw I ask, was that list made by you yodaman? Or did you find it in the Internet?

I said 229 cm because I saw that on Wikipedia and in a couple of websites. Thanks for the correction though.

He he...yes this guy was also a "professional" wrestler under the alias "Giant Gonzalez" in the WWF in early nineties. He beat up on my favourite The Undertaker and feuded with him for about six months to a year. They exaggerated his height to "nearly 8 feet tall" but he was maybe 7' 7" at most. I wonder if Argentina will have some guy like this on their NT ever. He could be useful to help out Oberto and Scola.

The Undertaker was also my favorite wrestler I remember seeing a very tall guy once with a suit that made him look like King Kong or whatever, it really impressed me. Then many years after that I discovered that that giant was González, I was suprised to know that he had been a basketball player.

There is an Indian wrestler (Great Khan??) who's pretty tall, but probably not more than 7 feet.

I personally stood pretty close to Neil Fingleton in Chapel Hill. I don't think he's taller than Yao Ming though, otherwise why can't he get PT even in NCAA?

#48's name is Sun Houhua, he played like 1 game in CBA and then disappeared.

Hmm... doesn't look like, at least in the short term. We have lots of 6' 9" and some 6' 10" with potential to play in the NT, even a couple of 6'11" but I think not even one 7'0" with chances to make the NT. The best young prospect would be Pablo Orlietti who is 16 years and around 205 cm, hopefully he grows a couple of inches, this kid already plays for the U-18 NT and is followed closely by the Real Madrid.

The wrestler is Great Khali, and I think they really exagerate his height.

Anybody heard of a chinese guy named Ming Ming - I heard rumors that he is over 240cm.

Yes I already heard about him. According to Wikipedia he's 236 cm. He had serious health problems related with a tumor and his pituitary gland, so I don't know if he actually will become a good player or even actually one. Here's a website devoted to him and the problems he had: http://www.savesunmingming.com/

EDIT: He's on the list too btw.

Well I just checked his height and a good number of websites state he's 220 cm, thus he's out of the top 50.

Well, I know he's at least as tall as the Big Show, who's supposed to be 7 feet tall. At one time they said he was 7'4", then 7'2" and now 7 feet. Anyways, Khali hasn't been heard from since the Undertaker took care of him in a last man standing match.

Well I dont know how tall Big Show is, but I'm pretty sure that Khali is a bit taller. But it's really hard to imagine Khali playing basketball, running from one basket to the other, or jumping after the ball....
