    Wow, Rebecca Lobo, really?

    First Team:
    Center: Lisa Leslie
    Forward: Yolanda Griffith
    Forward: Sheryl Swoopes
    Guard: Cynthia Cooper
    Guard: Dawn Staley

    Second Team:
    Center: Lauren Jackson
    Forward: Tina Thompson

    Guard: Katie Smith
Guard: Ticha Penichiero (though it will be Weatherspoon that gets this spot, don't ask why...)

I guess you are right, she is just a personal favorite from her college days, but only played a good 2 - 3 years in the WNBA until she sufferd that torn ACL in her left knee that pretty much ended her career. Cause she did not do much after that.

I hear you 23, if I were to go with my faves, Lisa Leslie would not be on my list anywhere. I also want to say that Tina Thompson and Yolanda Griffith are interchangable between the two teams.

Same here, dunno why, but Lisa Leslie wouldn't be on my team either. I mean I don't have anything against her, but....

We should star another thread about WNBA favorite players... Michelle Timms would be on mine, as well as Penicheiro, and Jackson. And everything started because I put Rebecca Lobo on my list (which now I wish I didn't)... lol

The Team was announced 2 weeks ago... I missed it...

Players voted by fans, the media and current players/coaches to the All-Decade Team:

    Sue Bird Seattle 2002-current
    Tamika Catchings Indiana 2001-current
    Cynthia Cooper Houston 1997-2000, 2003
    Yolanda Griffith Sacramento 1999-current
    Lauren Jackson Seattle 2001-current
    Lisa Leslie Los Angeles 1997-current
    Katie Smith Detroit 1999-current
    Dawn Staley Houston 1999-current
    Sheryl Swoopes Houston 1997-current
    Tina Thompson Houston 1997-current
I think they got 8-9 out of the 10 right. The inclusion of Sue Bird and Tamika Catchings is a bit early. Esp. Sue Bid (though I like her game). And though I am not a fan of Ticha Penichiero or Teresa Weatherspoon, I fully expected them to make the squad. Maybe even Nykeshe Sales.
