Greece will go back to its first stage performances. Forget the greece germany game. Greece won easily against a team that played its best game yet, with a player called Schaffartzik that had the game of his life. This guy played for Nowitzki and Kaman together.
The game against russia is a different story. unless if Schaffartzik plays for them too.

I don't know. It should be easy one for Greeks but if Russia has good shooring day anything is possible especially if a guy like Monya places his hand...

Yes, Monya is an excellent shooter... 0/5 3p yesterday... total 3/11 in the tournament... wow... he can beat Greece single-handedly...

Greece is better team - Spanoulis, Zisis, Fotsis... I'm sure they will win in spite of the fact that this mach is more important for Russia...

Even if Greece loses the game against Russia and wins V France it would end top of the group. However topping the group this year is less important.....the main thing is status and pride for the players; they clearly want to win every game.
I think Greece would win relatively easily but I also think that people should forget from now on the initial groups performances....the tournament is now stepping in a new level. IMHO

You prick should never quote my posts again. You obviously have never seen Monya before this tournament. He is not in good shooting shape but if that changes he is a real sniper.

Maybe you should reconsider your posts and mentality if you don't want people to quote on them.....

Greece will win the game, but probably not very easily as Russia is a tough opponent, in every game they have played so far in the tournament. But since they lack much quality in the guards positions, i don't think that their bigs can do much against the Greek front-line either, i cannot see how can Russia beat Greece at this time.

I completely agree with you. Teams finish that part of competition and they shouldn't turn back...
And about Monya, he is unreliable, you couldn't know what to expect of him, so...

Russia has huge motive.Qualification pass through that game. They wont give up at all.Recent victory gave them hope and you know what this means.
Greece has no really motive.Win or lose the game of the group will be in Tuesday.I except probably the bench to take more time and a big rotation.
The game is balanced for those reasons. It wont be easy.

EDIT.Only now i have been informed greek loby bought Greece win in the end

Greece will win, but Russia won't give up without fight. Mozgov won't play like he played against Croatia, since Greece has good defenders at frontcourt. Bykov and McCarty have to play well to Russia get the win.

Greek loby successfully negotiated a win over Russia, with its leadership.

I think coach Kazalauskas may not go for this game at all...

If Greece wins over Russia, but then loses against France, we will be second.

If though Greece loses from Russia, but wins France we will be first, or second.

On the other side if we lose both from Russia and France, we could end up 3rd.

We could of course, win here, and then decide which opponent we want more from the other group against France.

In my opinion, Greek lobby may negotiate a loss here and keep the players fresh, but a win would be preferable.

So, my final words: Russia will get a narrow victory with a +1-10 against the partially indifferent Greece.

    This discussion needs:

    1. Change the topic to match the rest.
    2. Add a poll.

Fingers crossed... but it won't be easy. Have you ever seen a weak Russian NT?

These games won't be like Israel and FYROM any more.
