Default Group F, Day 6 Turkey vs Slovenia

Fight for the 1st place of the group.

Both teams have some major problems with injuries.

Turkey has some problems with Turkoglu while Slovenia will almost certainly play without Dragič, Smodiš and maybe even without Slokar and D. Lorbek.

They will still start for the victory, no doubt about it.

We have to go with a reserve lineup here. Getting healthy is more important than finishing the group 1st.

I don't care if we lose or win, as long as we have a healthy squad heading in to the quarter finals.

I think it also depands alot of how the rest of the games will be played. If Serbia loses and Spain wins, we'll have to start for the victory with our best men. Becouse we want to be 1st or 2nd in the group. If that doesnt happens and both Slovenia and Serbia win or lose, then we'll probably rest Lakovič, Erazem Lorbek and Nachbar. My opinion.

Same for Slovenia. Stay healthy and prepare for quarterfinals. I think we will rest Boki Nachbar, Erazem Lorbek and Jaka Lakovič - not that they won't play but they will play less.

Hardest game for us. We won at WC with some luck at shots and they were unexperienced team.. This time they are really good.

But I think we will win. 77-76 or something like this.. Maybe with a last sec shot..

If you play as bad as you did today, you'll loose. Guarenteed.

Well, Poland did outplay the Slovenian team for like 15 minutes today.

You never know. As I said in my last post, I don't care about the result of this game. We are capable of beating the 3rd or 4th team in Group E, won't really matter that much.

I hope our reserves will get more playing time and have a chance to get in to the rotation in the following games.

It's in our favour that the game starts at 21.00. We'll know if we have to win this or not so it also depends on our lineup. Again, we have to be 1st or 2nd in the group becouse we desperately need that free day off.

Well we outplayed Serbia. It was +17 and then +11 on the end, you almost lost today against them. Serbia was leading +17 against Poland and won +4 while we were down by -7 and then up +20 and won +16. Basketball is a team sport and you can never look on it in that way. Like I said, the othe games will most probably dictate the team's lineups and anything can happen. Noone can predict nothing.

This game isn't important now. This game would be important if Greece finish 3 th. After Greece match, this game might become important game for 2 sides.
If Greece lose, we will win this match by +6 points.
If Greece doesn't lose, The game has no meaning so Slovenia might have a chance. The difference will be close and One team can win by 3 points.

Just lilke you said it here, a very good comment, we'll watch the other groups games, and will decide to try for a win or loose after all.

I dont think that would be a wise decision. Many times before teams did that and all of sudden lost the momentum and the players started losing confidence. You have to keep the momentum going and go into the quarters with as many confidence as possible. Maybe resting Turkoglu would good decision but other then that I would just keep the starters as normal.

I only responded to your comment.

Didn't you say that "if you play as bad as you played today, you'll definetely lose?"

And I'm saying that "if you get outplayed by the Turkish team for 15 minutes, you won't have the same comeback chance you had against the Polish team today"

I have been saying it all day long, you never know. You say the same thing, just from a different angle.

If Crotia finishes 4 th, Russia finishes 3 rd, I want Turkey to lose this match. We
    can beat Russia more easily.

You know, I will serve my armchair for my team. I clean my armchair today but I don't do this again. You know, Magic can be damaged if I clean and I understood this today, we are nearly lose...

But In Crotia , I am afraid of Prkacin, Kasun, Vujicic. We are all better than Crotia but only In centers, they are better and I am afraid that they use this in the match. I will analyse them in Germany match more clearly.
When I look Russia, they achieve being more team than Crotia but they have limitted squad. We are all better than Russia. Anyway, choosing opponent is bad thing. If we are strong, we must face with our fears. May be Meetiing with Greece would be good theraphy for this
