That can only be good for him if he is better at 3P shooting..
In Tianjing he is only the 4th scoring option(behind the 2 imports and Zhang Nan),I haven't watch Tianjing's games this season, but according to last season, maybe Fahed can get a lot of wide open shots if his teammates who are doubled pass to him..

PS1:Fahed should reduce his TOs a little, maybe that's because he doesn't adjust to CBA yet...

PS2:Unfortunately it seems Tianjing and Qingdao would still rank at the end of the table..Qingdao,with Li Guang out for the season, espeicailly,is the most likely team for the cellar....

i am telling u he is not a pure PG thats why he doesnt make lots of assists + he makes lots of turnovers and i noticed a weakness in him that when he is doubled he always panics and ends up losing the ball.

however on the other hand he is a great shooter with a huge heart. he always makes the hardest shots in the end of close games and make lebanon win. he did it against quatar against korea against france and many other teams.

the opponents rarely double him,but double his teammates means he may get some wide open shots..

after 7 games in the Chinese League, here's a little summary about Rony Fahed:

He's been averaging 13.7 ppg (not bad and i believe it will be increased progressively) --- shooting with a percentage of 31% from the 3pts line and 43% from the 2pts) + 4.3 rpg and 3.3 apg in 31 mpg!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Overall those are good numbers for Rony!

mentioning that he scored 32pts in his last game against Qingdao Double Star in addition to 3reb 2ast 3stl!

32 points in CBA is quite big

rony fahed shoots a lot thats why he scores a lot. and he is inconsistent in his %. some games he is on fire and other games he is so bad that he even misses an easy lay up and this might affect badly the team.i want to see him play more as Play maker than shooting the ball as we have enough scorers on the team.i hope he will be up to the level in the wc we will surely need his skills to qualify to the second round

you actually have a point but considering his numbers this year, i might say that Rony is doing a good job on position 1.He's averaging like 4 assists per game.

Rony proved last summer that he's the player of the crucial moments,i guess if it's not about Rony , we wouldn't even dream of reaching the semi finals during the previous Asian Championship!

I guess it's not only about the last Championship, Rony has proved over the years with the Lebanese NT that he is the go to guy at the last moments of each game, he has done a lot to this country and even if he has a bad shot selection he still manages to step up BIG when we really need him

True that. In all honesty I see Rony Fahed as amongst the top 3 players for Lebanon in the last decade along with Khatib and Vogel if we are to see what they have done for the Lebanese NT in terms of accomplishments.

i can only agree with you, i watched the game of tianjin and his statistic, his shooting is inconsistent, his 3pts is not very well, he should learn how to be a playmaker not a pointer because he plays as a pg in tianjin. chinese media dont think he played very well since the begin of CBA. Rony should show more what he can and plays more consistent.

rony fahed is not a pure PG he has a SG mentality but because in this decade a player with his height is considered way too short to play other then position 1. rony fahed made lebanon qualify to the wc in 2005, his last 3 pt shot was very crucial in our game against france. he also was the reason we qualified to the semi finals in the last asian championship. however the thing is rony fahed is usually on fire only when he is under pressure and when he feels that the game is so crucial to his team. i prefer ali mahmoud more but we cant deny what rony has done to our basketball.

7 Rebounds! what impresses me more about Rony is his Rebounding Average.
Can we have a look at them dani? I think he's Averaging 5 Rebounds a game?
    Thats pretty impressive as well.
Good luck to Rony & Sabah at the CBA
