I think it will all depend if he plays in the game tonight against Utah cuz I honestly don't think he will play in the All Star game if he doesn't play tonight and will take this extra time off to recover and rest.
But Kobe is one tough player cuz he's been playing all season with various injuries and before missing his last few games he had played over 240 consecutive games if i'm not mistaken.

Kobe missed, the game at Utah, howerver the Lakers did not have alot of difficulty beating the Jazz. I guess we'll know very soon if Kobe will Play this weekend or not..

Jason Kidd will replace Kobe Bryant in the western squad as the latter begged off due to injuries.

David Lee would replace Allen Iverson in the eastern squad as the latter also begged to attend to private matters.

I wonder who'll be in the starting line-up replacing Kobe.. I guess it might be Kevin Durant.
Rondo should start for the East.
I'm very happy for David Lee. He deserves it!

Default Kobe's injury and decision to skip the All Star Game

It's good that Kobe has been resting for the past few games, however, I disagree that he decided to play through so many games while he was injured. His team is so well loaded that even without him, I'm confident to say that they would still get the top spot in the West. Kobe, being Kobe, is just pushing himself too much. He shouldn't be working hard rather working smartly. Thus, he should be resting himself and focusing on April to June rather than pushing himself to the limit during the regular season. His competitiveness is getting too much of him. I have a fear that he could get another injury around April and be out for the rest of the playoffs. My playoff prediction is that with Kobe, the Lakers are getting the trophy again, without Kobe, you definitely see them in the 2nd round, maybe the Conference Finals but maybe not in the Finals.

Paul Pierce won the 3-point shoot-out; becoming the first Celtic since Larry Bird to win one. It was a redeeming win as Paul Pierce's performance back in 02 was rather lack-luster.

While Steve Nash beat 20-something guys in the skills challenge.

Wow NBA actually pushing for the World Championships, quite the little intro for Team USA.
The Rules learned in the Prediction game.
    1: Brazil is always disappointing
2: Never dismiss Argentina solely because of age.
3: Never bet against Spain in a knockout game, unless it is against the US.
