Tunisia is the team to beat for me in this tournament. Semifinal games will be tough and fun to watch. Cote d'Ivoire's level has raised tremendously throughout the tournament.Teams rankes 2nd and 3rd in the last edition will have a great matchup in the semis.

Tunisia-Angola final looks like a reality now.

    Cameroon-Angola: 46-36 at halftime...

The Cameroonians don't have serious foul problems. If they maintain this up-tempo style of playing, i think they will win. Angola's guards cannot control the tempo of the game, at all...

Unf*cking believable finish of the game... Cameroon probably won't goin't to realize how they let it slip away... twice

Even was supportin Angola, but feel really sorry for Lions...

Btw, wasn't following this champ too closely till play-offs, is it Angola goin' down (btw where is Olimpio Cipriano), which almost lost 2nd game tonight or some other teams increased their game?

Always the sam eproblem: Not listening to your coach but doing whatever you think it's right. Liam was helpful in telling us during the game what the coach wanted them to do. But the players played some kind of wild streetball which worked for some time. And why in the world is this guy fouling the Angolan player????? Thank god I'm not his coach...

So why not just promote the junior team to the senior team? Problem solved.

I came here because I thought: if anyone, Mojado will know answer. LOL.
I don't know answer either. But that won't stop me from guessing.

Cameroon played last game yesterday. And it was overtime, it was nearing 23:00 hours local time when it finished. And then they were supposed (because of stupid schedule) to play game at 09:00 today. So my speculation is: they asked organizers to change schedule, it was refused, they said "We won't play then, we're so tired we would lose anyway and is stupid to risk injuries for which risk would be significantly higher than usual". I hope schedule is only reason they're angry. I hope FIBA Africas will be lenient in discipline measures.

Angola - Olímpio Cipriano is out due to some injury, there's something about it earlier in this thread or in Angola NT thread. Also not here is Carlos Almeida out of impact players, while also absent Filipe Abraão i Miguel Lutonda (almost 40 yrs old) are not so important. Also they brought in French coach that insisted too much on defense (he's fired 2 days ago, but it is probably too late).

Angola is in down direction, yes. Other teams increasing their game, I think no.

For example Mali without best player Amara Sy is 9th, 2 years ago with him they were 8th. Egypt without almost all their best players is 11th, 2 years ago they were 10th. Only new team in top 8 is Morocco - but that is pure lack, they got Mali from group A in knockout round (Group A was very weak with 3 bad teams, because home team Madagascar for draw was in No1 seeds hat with ANG /CIV/TUN).

I mean, nothing changed - and where there is changes, usually it changed in wrong direction. Same teams on top always, then absentees (negative examples this time and usually: Senegal and Nigeria) and/or quality of preparations (positive examples this time and usually: Tunisia and Angola) decide.

I see all Nation in this Africas Cup. I think best team is Nigeria, but lose concentration in most part of the game.

I think tomorrow Nigeria win easy against Angola

I still cannot believe how Cameroon lost last night...
Those mistakes by Bitee and N'dongo were absolutely ..childish
On the other hand, Angola's zone defense worked very well at the second half.

But, i don't think that this Angola team is capable of winning two straight matches against Nigeria and Ivory Coast or Tunisia...

Making predictions for the champion seems difficult, right now...

All the quarterfinal teams except Morocco look to be evenly matched, winner is just whoever shoots best on the day.

Liam has fully incorporated the annoying British FIBA TV announcer habit of officiating the game as he announces.

Paco Garcia seems to indicate that Cameroon just didn't show up for the game:
