I'm in Costa Rica for the summer, and I have to say that Costa Ricans are pretty gullible about stereotypes (yes, I know I'm stereotyping Costa Ricans here). Brazilians and Mexicans are arrogant, Nicaraguans are thieves, Colombians are drug dealers, Chinese are rat-eaters, Black Costa Ricans are lazy...these are all pretty damaging stereotypes. Interestingly though, as Czarkazem said, there is an opposite positive stereotype for most of these: Nicaraguans are hard-workers, Colombians are stylish, Chinese are brilliant business people...

If you'd use your brain from time to time, you'd know that this stereotype has nothing to do with reality and never had. Jews weren't allowed lots of professions in Medieval Europe. One profession however could not be carried out by Christians - loaning money. Thus, Jews were put in an unfavorable position, where they lend money and when they wanted to get it back, it often ended in pogroms, blaming or ritual killings, expulsion of thousands over thousands of Jews and killings. If you would have some sense of history, you'd know it. You'd also know, that wherever Jews went to in Europe, the economy went up. That's why European sovereigns often invited Jews to their territories. Often enough, they made debts and in order to get rid of them, they simply expelled Jews, accompanied with trials, pogroms, looting and killing.Sure? That's the stereotype of Jews, like it or not. It's a fucking stereotype joke. Nothing else. Get your head out of your ass and breath a little. Same thing if I'd make fun of blondes, or no, you are a blond too?! Fact is that Jews invested, donated and sponsored arts and science like hardly anyone did.
That's not a stereotype that could be compared with blondes. Blondes didn't get massacred by Cossaks at a six-figure rate, blondes didn't go into gas chambers because they were blondes. If you want to add up to stereotype of Jews, why not using blood of Christian children in order to bake matzot, domination of mass media, the US government being under the Jewish foot? Man, you really have no clue, what's the difference between harmless stereotypes, everything could laugh about and that often stem from the respective nations themselves and blood libels. If one doesn't respect history, what's the difference between him and Der Stuermer, for example? They used the same sort of stereotype and believed that this is true. Am I blaming everybody? The vast majority of people, I don't care about. There are more than enough people who dislike and hate Jews because the believe in such stereotypes like elaj has brought one up. In the country, where we two are living, they amount to over 15% according to scientific researches.Not everybody is after you (Palestinians maybe). The vast majority of the people have other more important stuff to worry about than hate jews for no reason.
It didn't start with the Holocaust either. No nation before was exterminated in such a fashion and such numbers just because people belonged to it. This wasn't a war over some disputed territory, a war of two armies. This was extermination of civilian population not because of what it did but because of who members of it were from their birth on.
Such "jokes" are simple stereotypes that have their origin in a situation I've described above. They are not funny, they are not humorous, the are simply offensive. If you need proof of Jewish jokes about Jews, google somewhat and you'll get the difference between this one and jokes that are actually jokes.

Does it tell you that Jews are greedy? Does a Jewish joke about Jews have such intention? No. It simply knows its characters and knows the people that could be met in Jewish diaspora, when this joke became knows. 6. People from Zhejiang Province, ESPECIALLY Wenzhou are known as the jews of China....which is funny because in Southeast Asia the Chinese descents are known as the Jews of SE Asia, but within China the jews of the jews are the people from Wenzhou/Zhejiang
7. All people from Sichuan and Hunan Province are known for wanting to leave their province and move somewhere else, anywhere but those 2 provinces.
8. Guangdong students are the most retarded and violent of the post 90s generation of China (as in kids born after 1990s)
