Also, I like the motion offense of the Sacramento Kings under Keith Smart. Evans has increased his assists by +3.1 in the past four games on his regular season average. Evans is more of a distributor under Smart and the other members are responding as well.

I do hope that Fredette will eventually latch on to this offense. He will thrive with this setup.

Thank you. And I do agree, Tyreke has been more of a true point guard under Keith Smart. As for Jimmer, I believe it's just the schedule that's leading to his poor showings recently, nothing more than that. Once he gets accomodated to the NBA schedule (which is much tougher this year than usual with the lockout), he should become a nice piece for our team. Also, Demarcus Cousnins has been much more productive with Smart taking over recently, he's gotten a scurry of double-doubles. I really think Smart is what we needed, some new blood and a coach who can get a good offense running.

Up next are the San Antonio Spurs who will be hosting the Sacramento Kings. The Spurs are 1-1 in their Florida road trip against the Miami HEAT (Lost) and (Won) the Orlando Magic.

While the Kings are coming off from a win against the Indiana Pacers. This is a game where the Kings cannot afford a bad start and will have to play their best to even compete and make a game out of it.

The Kings managing to reclaim the lead within the crucial moments of the final minutes. Prior to that, the Kings lead for much of the game except when the Spurs re-took the lead 82-78 with seven minutes remaining.

Down the stretch, the Kings made key plays resulting in clutch baskets. With 47.2 seconds remaining, Tyreke Evans hits a pull-up jumper to give the Kings the lead 88-86. Evans finished with 23 points on 7-17 shooting. Evans also added 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Marcus Thornton and Demarcus Cousins each had 17 points. Cousins also had 13 rebounds to go along for the night.

Jason Thompson with 10 points and 10 rebounds. JJ Hickson off the bench with 6 points and 6 rebounds.

The Kings handed the San Antonio Spurs their first home defeat for the season.

Thank goodness for John Salmons, he might've saved the game for us in the last couple of possesion. Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins were ver ygood in this game, and our team as a whole deserved this voctory. Btw, this is our first win in San Antonio since 2006. Our record is now 6-10.

Up next, we take on the Memphis Grizzlies, once again, at the FedEx Forum. Last time, we suffered a big loss to the Grizzlies, but I expect something different to happen as Keith Msart is now our (pretty successful thus far) head coach. Also, the Grizzlies have a few injuries and Zach Randloph is one of them while we only have Chuck Hayes missing. Memphis has been very good all year long though, and they're currently placed eighth in the West which certainly isn't bad. I just hate how we have to play on the road so much in the beginning of the year...

The Kings lost steam in the third and fourth quarter that allowed Memphis to close the game for good. There was signs od fatigue in the first quarter where the Grizzlies outscored the Kings 34-21. While it seems that the Kings are on another comeback game in the second quarter as they outscored the Grizzlies 39-34.

Jimmer Fredette lead the team with 20 points and 6 assists off the bench. Donte Greene scored a season high 19 points.

Demarcus Cousins had a double double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Dissapointed with the loss to Memphis after we gained some nice momentum with two straight victories aganst two very good teams. I thought we could have and should've at least competed in this game. We next get a shot at revenge with a home game against Memphis (to avoid possible confusion, it is not our next game but the series' next game ). Up next on the schedule, away to Portland again. Seems like we face the same teams in the same venues...

Jimmer Fredette has made progress. He seems to be starting to gel with the team and is adapting with the NBA professional game. His shooting touch as well as his confidence is emerging.

I am pleased with Isaiah Thomas Jr. for the team. Thomas is the only true point guard in the Kings' guard fold. Last night, Thomas scored 11 points and dished out 8 assists.

Being the 60th pick overall in last year's draft, he is quite a steal for the Kings.

I agree, Thomas seems to have been underrated coming into the NBA. His playmaking abilites are superb and Thomas has great court vision. I also think Jimmer has been a great addition to the team, another true point. His passing didn't get a lot hype coming into the draft, but he is definitely showing off that attribute in the NBA, so far. Great draft picks, as usual, from Geoff Petrie.
