Default FEAR THE DEER (Milwaukee Bucks)

This is the NBA Thread to be in!
The place where THE DEER is FEARED!
Bring on the season, bring on the teams, bring on all that you've got and you'll see the power of the DEER!

I'm hoping that the Bucks can ride from the success of last season and lift their success to new heights.

Can this team with their new acquisitions go deep into the playoffs? Can this team be the new team to crack into the top 4 of the East? Is this the year that Andrew Bogut and possibly Brandon Jennings get chosen for their first All Star Appearance? So many questions and so much expections on this solid Eastern Team.

Biased Verdict: I can imagine this team riding on the shoulders of my compatriot, Andrew Bogut and going deep into the Eastern Conference Playoffs where they will meet the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals but go down 4-1. Andrew Bogut gets selected for the All Star Game and Brandon Jennings and Bogut both get selected for All NBA Third Team Selection.

Make no doubt about it: this is a very good team. The Milwaukee Bucks have a great line-up from top to bottom, although they need somebody behind Andrew Bogut (whatever happened to Primoz Brezec? He had a two or three incredible years and then fell off the planet).

Right now, this team is a step behind Boston, Miami, and Orlando. They might be as good as Orlando right now, but they have to prove it first. Looking at the rosters, I think they're better than Chicago and Atlanta.

Nevertheless, I don't think they can get out of the second round of the play-offs. Not yet. Maybe they will improve over the year (Salmons was a great addition and he never had the luxury of a training camp last year).
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

The Milwaukee Bucks are a force to be reckoned with as last season, a healthy Andrew Bogut on the middle has scored wins over the Celtics and Magic.

Hopefully this season, the Bucks' key personnel like Bogut and Michael Redd will be healthy.

Watch out Chicago Bulls, your division rival is dangerous.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd will return to play in February as he does not want to risk going down with an injury if coming back too prematurely. The team has also consulted physicians and have approved of the decision.

Redd when healthy, is still a shooter and could help the Bucks on the post-season.

I would like a healthy Milwaukee Bucks for the start of the season. But the Bucks are monitoring the healing rate of center Amdrew Bogut who according to physicians might not be able to start right away for the early season. Meanwhile, Michael Redd is reportedly out until December.

Realistically, this could be the starting-lineup on the start of the season.

    C Drew Gooden
    F Ersan Ilyasova
    F John Salmons
    G Carlos Delfino
    G Brandon Jennings

But when everyone is healthy, I expect this lineup:

    C Andrew Bogut
    F Ersan Ilyasova
    F John Salmons
    G Carlos Delfino
    G Brandon Jennings

Brandon Jennings have accused USA Basketball with conspiracy with Footwear Giant NIKE on the selection of the players for TEAM USA which recently competed and won gold on the FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Jennings pointed his current contract with Armour Shoes as a shoe endorser as the primary reason why he was not named on the Team USA pool of players.

    Jennings was quoted:

“It’s not my call. That’s on them,” “But if you want to get technical about it and you really want to look at it, half of the guys there are Nike guys. I’m not saying it’s a Nike thing, but Nike is kind of running a lot of things right now. To have a guy like myself on the USA team that’s flashy and really outgoing, you don’t want Under Armour to get all that publicity."

“I’m just telling you how it is.”
It can be noted that only Derrick Rose and Chauncy Billups were in contract with another Footwear brand, which is ADIDAS on the Team USA roster.

Jerry Colangelo, Chairman of the USA Basketball Organization denied the accusations made by Jennings and was quoted:

“no credence to his (Jennings) statements. I’m the one who picks [players], “What somebody wears in the way of shoes or gear doesn’t have any impact on who is selected.”
