Default Group B, Day 1, Iran vs. Brazil

    When: 21h30 (GMT+3)
    Where: Istanbul
Watch: FIBA Tv, ESPN Brazil, Sportv, TV Esporte Interativo.

Will Brazil win easily their debut in the WC? Or will Iran surprise them and steal the victory? IMO Brazil wins by +20

    Brazil without Nene Hilario

Iran without Sahmad Nikkhah Bahrami and Hamed Afagh; both are starters.

I'll go with Brazil on this one.

While Brazil hasn't impressed me in the prep games, they should still win this without too much trouble. Brazil by 10-20 pts.

Splitter - Haddadi should be a good match up.

    Splitter will win it, though.

It's frustrating to see Team Melli play without the captain and starting SG. Despite these setbacks, I am hopeful and confident that they will put on a good show

Coach of Iran- Matic is very experienced and in my opinion he will try in this situation(without main power-Samad) to slow the pace of the game as much as it is possible. So spread is over 20 points and it is very huge.Brazil is good but has no reason to kill.

difficult match for Brazilians, but I think they will win it. without Nene will be more difficult, but the result should be 76 - 66

I hope but I'm not optimistic, at least for the first match. the last time we played without Samad we lost by 30pts to China 2 years ago in Diamond cup !! now we have Arsalan, lets see what this boy can do against these basketball giants !

For people that likes to bet, it is best to play under 151 points. With out Samad number of points will be low for Iran, but either Brazil wont force the game- it is first game - not to forget

I will go for Iran on this one.For no good reason whatsoever other than I am flying on Monday to Tehran!
By the way, are there any Iranian channels that broadcast all games of world championship or at least any Greece game?
    Thanks

I think it's going to be a good game and a win for Brazil
But still i hope Haddadi and Arsalan Kazemi play their top game and shock a few who still don't know what spectacular 100% natural skills we have in basketball(unlike some countries having players imported or going after heritages to find basketball players).
Good luck to both teams specially Iran!
