    Default Eighth-finals, Serbia vs Croatia

Last time on a Championship Serbia played Croatia 2001 in Turkey. Now after 9 years it will be again in Turkey. I hope it will end like 2001 or 97 in Barcelona.

    Ajmo Srbija!

Good luck to Serbia. I think they can win in this easily.

Given the beating Croatia took today against Brazil, I have to think Serbia will win.

even though they are a dangerous team I just can't see Crotia beating Serbia
"We wish Jordan were 7-feet, but he isn't. There just wasn't a center available. What can you do? Jordan isn't going to turn this franchise around. I wouldn't ask him to. He's a very good offensive player, but not an overpowering offensive player."

There is a pretty big difference in class between these two teams. My prediction Serbia win by 15-20.

I think Serbia is going to win because Croatia don't have team players, they are individualists (expeccially Ukič, Tomas too)

Psychologically, this is the easiest game for Cro in 1/8 final(o.k.,if we don t count Angola,or New Zeland)..reason is simple, they do not have nothning to lose.Today Cro play the worst game in recent period,so no one in Cro do not expect they can win in saturday match against us.
We always play tough matches against them...

it will be hard,it will be 20 + for us

Serbia and not even 1% chance for Croatia to win (sadly, but this time truly...).

    voted for Serbia.

Considering their "state of game and mind" this is the easiest possible opponent for Croatia. They'll have an enormous motive and nothing to lose. I believe Serbian talent will prevail, but wouldn't be surprised if this game will be tight all to the end without any team dominating - if Croats won't "die on court", they'll die when getting back home.

I can miss the finals, but definately won't miss this one.

When you are Croat and play against Serbia you always have something to lose, really, and everybody in Croatia off course expect victory, its not like they are playing against USA so they do not have nothing to lose, even Serbia is almost at same level as USA but its big rivalry and you don't want to lose, it is a matter of pride.

    not realy

this year unlike previus years people were aware of our team and especially coach limitations so evreybody expected we finish forth and that 8 th finals is ur reality, now it's even more sure after today's crap vs. brazil.

Well, it's not sure yet and you know that!

You have half a dozen guys that are able to bomb us from behind the arc, some of your guys are excellent free throw shooters (although this WC, you really sucked in that regard) and Tomic could finally show why is he considered as one of the most talented centers in Europe.

Plus, you almost have a home-court advantage, since you have already settled in Istanbul (and played 5 games there).

Our biggest advantage is Duda (IMO).

But, if the game gets close towards the end, it's gonna be really tough for us...

I don't think so! In a common group stage match I would say Serbia is favorite against Croatia (70-30) but play-off games are completely different, everyone will the 40 minutes like there is no tomorrow. So, I'm with pohani komarac, cheering for Croatia on Saturday

This is a clear cut. Serbia is better in every espect of the game, the only thing that can go in Croatia's way is factor of surprise in hitting crazy triples from their sharpshooters (like they did for 35 minutes of the game against Slovenia) - Ukić, Tomas, Bogdanović, Popović. Or maybe they will change their approach towards the game and start playing like a T E A M. It's a team sport for fuck sake. I hope they do, they clearly have the potential, but too dumb and selfish to see it.

Tomić won't be able to hold their inside game for whole game against Serbian post players, even if he way better player individually.

Let's not even compare the teams from coaching stand of view... Vranković against Ivković, come on, we all know who is who, and what is what... not even worth repeating.
