Yes. Right now I think James Harden is a better fit and Westbrook is healthier, sharper and would better deal with a reduced role behind Paul, Williams and Kobe.

Ultimately I believe Wade will be on the Team based on what he's done in the past, but he's not the same player he was in 08.

The Olympics aren't a cakewalk for the USA anymore and we even our 12th man needs to be ready to step up and play important minutes.
I agree 100% DeAndre Jordan could do what Anthony Davis jr does only better. I understand James Harden if someone else gets injured. I say leave this to the big boys.

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks said in an interview with the Oklahoman, that he is willing to offer his services as a player coach if USA Basketball asked. His players, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden are on the Olympic pool.

    Report: U.S. receives extension

USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo won't have to submit the 12-man roster for the men's Olympic basketball team until July 8, according to a USA Today report.

According to the report, Colangelo asked for and received an extension on selecting the final roster. The original deadline set by the U.S. Olympic Committee was June 18, but Colangelo will now have until July 8, two days after the start of training camp in Las Vegas.

The U.S. recently added college player of the year Anthony Davis and Oklahoma City's James Harden to its pool of finalists.

After losing Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose to their injury list, the Americans are back to 18 healthy players in the pool, allowing for a 12-man roster and six alternates.

Davis led Kentucky to the NCAA championship, winning the Most Outstanding Player award at the Final Four, and is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. Harden, a guard, is one of the NBA's top sixth men.

The remaining healthy finalists are: Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Love, Andre Iguodala, Rudy Gay, Eric Gordon and Lamar Odom -- though Odom's status is uncertain after his poor season that resulted in the Dallas Mavericks deactivating him.

If any more point guards drop out we need to get Andre Miler on the Olympic roster ASAP. Ideal playmaker for all of our wing scorers. Let Miller redeem himself from the 02 Worlds disaster with a gold medal.

Chris Bosh could be out for 3 months with an abdominal strain.

This is getting ridiculous. Losing potentially Bosh and/or Wade could be big hits to our team. As many have mentioned, Bosh was key especially in defending pick and rolls in '08. Wade was our MVP of those games and would still be a main player for '12 if he doesn't drop out. Crossing my fingers for Bosh's MRI today and hoping that Wade ultimately decides to go to London- I think he will.

Yes, I remember that Bosh was the key player against Greece's pick and roll. Did a great job. Offensively as well. And wade brought a lot of energy to the team. On the other hand, USA didn't have Durant back then. Terrific player for the international game.

Tickets for the USA-Brazil doubleheader in DC are awfully expensive. Wonder how well they'll sell.

I'll definitely be at the game, but I'm completely disappointed by the price of admission (my costs go beyond just the absorbanent amount for the ticket. I have food, lodging and transportation expenses to factor in). DC is a dollar inflated town as it is, so whoever booked this contest should've either chose a different city or did the supporters a favor by printed affordable tickets so that the average Joe/Jane gets to attend without breaking their bank just to see an exhibition.

Cheapest ones are $75. I sprung for an upper-level seat near midcourt, $112. It's a doubleheader but still.

Earlier this week Groupon was selling half-price tickets for next weeks US-Brazil soccer friendly here...strongly suspect that discounted tickets will be available there or on stubhub later on.

    Thanks

Those are quite expensive! I'm comparing them to the 2010 WC tickets I bought in Turkey...
For the first round tickets were 45 Euros for 1 day in Zone 1 (best tickets) and I was watching 3 games per day.
