Thread: Semifinals, USA vs. Lithuania

    Default Semifinals, USA vs. Lithuania

Another unexpected but well deserved win from Lithuania and now they are facing another big challenge.

Who can manage to reach FIBA World Cup final?
This is the second most exciting thing you can do it indoor and you can do it in front of thousands. Well you know the first one and bedrooms are a bit small for thousands.

USA has great athletes runners jumpers but in my oppinon some players there just lack brains for good defence. Lithuania has HEARTH. Lithuania for me

I will root for greens, but after tonight shooting performance against argentina, lietuva will probably have 20% for 3

Come on guys ( Lithuanians ) this is World Cup not another Eurobasket, we ( world ) want to watch countries from all over the world not only Europeans. Now 75% of semifinals are from Europe.

Do us a favor and lost to USA please.

USA will not reach the finals like they did back in 2006, period.

My bet is on Lietuva in 3-5 points. No pressure on them, the whole pressure on Americans this time. I like being clear underdogs!

US beat Lithuania once before tournament when they were just starting to play together and will do it again...if they take it seriously or "with heart", as some here like to tout intensity. Carelessness like today with Russia most of the time, could cost them.
Lithuania on the other hand played miraclously today and I don't believe they can do it twice. +10 for USA.

Thanks for your input, I don't agree with any of your reasons (as Lithuania was playing with B-team guards in the preparation), but I agree with +10 for USA.

F*ck the logic, we will win There's no unbeatable teams in the world, so we have change and I still do believe.

I hope I'm wrong, but we would have to repeat today's phenomenal performance to fight USA, which is, obviously, unlikely. We will not out-run or out-jump these american boys, therefore Kemzura has to think of something "special".

Btw, this is going to be Lithuania's 6th semifinal in a major basketball competition (WC, EC, Olympics) since 2000! Pretty outstanding.. However, we have only won once..

No matter, how it all turns out, Lithuania is incredibly proud of our youngsters.. They showed huge heart, will and character!

its not stupidity, they jump on every fake shot cuz they are so athletic and if that attempt was a fake they can jump again and again. that is the black athletic nba player mentality.

OK I love being wrong as I have in the last game.

BUT one thing to note here is that we play USA on September 11 (9-11) so I think USA is going to be quite patriotic on this day and play this game with their full heart which is an edge for a team on a mission.

I wonder if they will do any rememberance stuff before the game for those that perished or something and be fired up against us??

the US team has huge advantages to their opponents in many positions. but they are not unstoppable. actually to be champion by beating USA is better than other option. so i will be waiting USA to the final.
