What happen with EM 2009 in Poland?
Ingo Weiss (DBB president) say that the EM 2009 in Poland is not sure. Or better he said that the EM in Poland is not probably (the few money is the problem). Now it is possible that 2009 the EM is in Lithuania (and not 2011) and 2011 could be the tournament in Poland or Germany (they want then apply).
Know anybody in Poland or Lithuania from these rumours?
What is the source of this rumour? I've heard few months ago that was some talks about that, but it was more political... Their basketball federation was using some kind of pressure to Polish Government with a purpose to get more money and other support...
The boss of the german basketball and he say this in 2 newspaper (seriuos newspaper). And in two weeks the FIBA should decide about that.What is the source of this rumour?
Maybe there was a small possibility of this happening, but I don't thin EM 2009 in Poland are in danger. We just had a temporary problem after elections and government changes, I think everything was solved. If not, it will be solved soon...
