Zhu will be in the Asian Champs, but don't expect too much out of him. He did play in the last few games in London, I remember a 1/10FG in the single-digit loss against Great Britain.

He was there in Guangzhou, FIBA's suspension came later. But you're right he's fading, he's only a role player in CBA now and was plagued with injuries. In the meantime, his CBA teammate Wang Shipeng had a stellar CBA season and it's a pity he'll have to miss out. But we have some people to fill their shoes, just inexperienced.

They have Liu Wei, Sun Yue, Zhu Fangyu, Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhizhi. Practically all their best players except for Wang Shipeng is there. Zhang Zhaoxu, Su Wei and Ding Jinhui are also with them.

there's nobody said Liu Wei was injured, we just lost Wang Shipeng(the best shooter in China) and Zhou Peng(maybe the best defender) , and Ding Jinhui is just come back from injured.

China has the best junior programs in Asia right? They were the most experienced players as far as development programs goes...
how come your young players/replacements were inexperienced? Where were those players from youth squads and developmental teams before?

What happens to your junior players as they mature and grow old?
Where are the batchmates of the present players? how comw you are lacking experienced players?

If you checked the name of our bench,you would found many of them are inexperienced in international games and many of them are just role players,they are only the puzzles for the main squads except the replacements, they are so lack of experience to play as a main player in the game.

Fortunately , a long olympic team program is started some monthes before, many youth teland players could training there and play many international games every year , the most importance some of them would learn how to play as a core player but not only as a role player. the chinese b fed would send them to play some regional official tournament like east asia game and I hope they would play Asia Stankovic Cup next year~

Hmmnnn but our smaller players are not in any way have superior talents to threatened china.

Yao Ming commended Ding Jinjui and Yao said that Ding has the skillset of Shane Battier. Yao added that Ding must also contribute to the offense.

Managed to watch the replay of the CHN-JOR game. Yi Jianlian had a good game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. Yi Li did good as well with 14 points.

In FIBA Asia where basketball is mixed with business and politics, China may intentionally give this game to Japan and have the Hayabusa face CT instead of S. Korea in the quarters.
