I watched Cosic only once and that was almost ten years ago. I have never watched Giergia or Skansi play.

p.s. I updated my list to include more teams.

p.s.s. I can scantly recall several good Slovenian players. Namely, Tovornik, Petranovic and Vilfan. Could you be kind enough to tell me if they ever played/started for the Yugoslavian national team. Oh, Jelovac, too.

Tovornik never got to play for Yugoslav NT, he was called up for Slovenia though... he played bball through all the leagues untill the very late age, and by 41 (or sth. like that) he was still the best scorer of our 1st division.

I think Petranovič was at his best one of those 10 ( ) borderline players that didn't manage to qualify for Yugoslavia (to be honest, a lot of players didn't get the chance because at 1 player from all 6 repoublics had to be picked in the team, so being Croatian- as Petranovič who has double citizenship- or Serbian it was much tougher to qualify to NT as if being from Montentegro, FYROM or Slovenia)... at 47 (!!!) I think he is still playing in 1. B division, while I believe he scored 100 points in a cup game 2 years back to some 4th division club... a pure legend...

Vilfan played for quite a long period for Yugo NT, he ended up as a commentator on national TV.

Jelovac has double citizenship as well, while his games goes far beyond my birth... don't know about the NT.

considering the competition on all 5 positions it was incredibly tough to qualify for Yugo NT

alvertis and sigalas should be left out!they don't deserve to be in this list!as for spanoulis will have to wait and see!also i don't think dikoudis deserves to be in the starting 5!

I regard Sigalas one of the biggest leaders and proabbaly the best defender of his generation whilst Alvertis is the greatest shooter we ever had.

I had to pick between Economou and Dikoudis for the PF position and decided on Dikoudis because he was more the team player playing for big european teams for a longer time.

Other playes I could have mentioned was Mimis Stefanidis - Panellinios(from the 50's) and Olimpia Milano, Faedon Mattheou 50's- PAO and Olimpia Milano, Charis Papageorgiou - Aris (late 70's -80's).

By the way, I just remembered Vasilis Goumas who is 2nd all-time scorer!!! He's definately be my 1st choice at PF.

I remembered that there was one Canadian point guard who played for the LA Lakers once. He was white.

Good choice for center. I think I would start Wang Zhizhi at PF though. People forget just how powerful he is/was. Maybe it's just my ignorance about Chinese basketball, but I haven't heard of Liu, so I would start Wang!
