Daegu Orions signs Chris Williams as the team's import for the 2011-2012 KBL Season. Williams' salary is worth $350,000 for the duration of the KBL 2011-2012 Season.

This marks the third KBL stint for the journeying wingman.

I have been searching as well. I found no clause about an Import Injury Replacement Rule on the KBL's Charter. I asked a friend in Suwon, and the answer was the KBL Governor, Board of Directors and Team Owners are still discussing provisions for Import Injuries.

Originally, the former KBL Governor was to address this issue via a "Injury Reserved Import" just in case the main import goes down with an injury, but the board and team representatives could not agree with the salary of that Import Injury Replacement.

I think addressing this issue is one of the main agenda's of the next KBL Board Meeting.

Alexander Johnson is suspect, but other guys from the CBA should have no problems with it. I haven't checked but I'm sure they all average 35+ min/gm in the CBA.

Rumor has it that Incheon ET Land Elephants are negotiating with Lebanon's Jackson Vroman despite having and re-signing Herbert Hill. The plan is to secure a mutual agreement with Hill so Hill can be viable for a contract buyout with the partial amount of the contract being rewarded.

Hill had "Medical Problems" according to Incheon's representatives.

Imagine if Incheon lands Jackson Vroman. The inside outside combination of Vroman and Moon Ta-Jong will do much damage to any opposing team. Vroman is as good as anyone in the post with his footwork and offensive arsenal while Moon will deliver overall perimeter play and could also help Vroman in rebounds.

Ulsan Mobis Phoebus signed former San Diego State Aztecs forward Malcolm Thomas as the team's import for the KBL 2011-2012 Season. Thomas applied for the NBA draft but was undrafted.

Incheon ET Land Elephants have announced that they have come to an agreement with Lebanese center Jackson Vroman. Vroman will replace Herbert Hill. Vroman is set to sign a $350,000 salary for the KBL 2011-2012 Season.

The Daegu Orions have announced that point guard Kim Young-Soo will be rejoining the team after two years of military service and battling kidney problems. Kim has gained medical clearance from doctors and will sign a new contract with the Orions.

Ulsan Mobis Phoebus has announced that 2010 KBL MVP Ham Ji Hoon will return to play for the team in February 2012. The team has picked up Ham's contract for the KBL 2011-2012 Season.

Any idea why Malcolm Thomas was at the Atlanta Hawks minicamp this past week if he's been signed by Mobis?

The Mobis site announced the signing, so maybe Mobis allowed him to attend the minicamp? Just odd that he's signed and still allowed to attend an NBA minicamp like he's still a FA.

Most KBL Teams allow their import recruits to participate on training camps abroad so the imports can be in tip top shape when the regular season opens. I believe it is written on their contract on such permissions to attend clinics, workouts and camps but are not allowed to play in organized leagues or sign another contract.
