Jeonju KCC Egis really misses Jon Tae-Pong (Injury) and Kang Byung-Hyun (Military Service). The back court of Jon and Kang sparked KCC's run last year.

They also miss Deshawn Simms. It was a horrible decision to swap him out just to get bigger. He had a much more diverse offensive game, didn't clog up the middle, and was way more fast/athletic. I'm hoping KCC can get a few wins and stretch this series out but it looks like they're done.

It is a sad departure for Jon Tae-Pong from the Jeonju KCC Egis. The next time around, he will be in another jersey. He was hoping a repeat championship in his last year.

Several Seoul SK Knights fans have been clamoring for the retired Bang Sung-Yoon to make a comeback next season. Bang is 30 years old and announced his retirement late in the KBL 2010-2011 season due to persistent leg injuries.

It even reached the site that is news.naver. Next season, the SK Knights have a new coach in Moon Yong-Geun and incoming rookies Cho Bo-Kyong, the second overall pick in the KBL 2012 draft and Kim Min-Soo, who has a similar name to naturalized Korean, Kim Min-Soo (Julian Kim). Joining the rookies will be sophomore sensation Kim Sun-Hyung.

I do sense some optimism for the club which is emanating from its fans who have suffered long enough in mediocrity. They may bring back Alexander Johnson and another foreigner to serve as back-up.

KBL tryout will take a place in July

KBL tryout will be held for 24th to 26th July in Las Vegas, United States. Time and other details have undecided yet. KBL will notice in Eurobasket.com before applying deadline.

Here are some policy changes from next season.

1.Each team can have two players and only one can play on the court

2.There is no free agent. All players should apply for tryout and attend draft this summer to make a contract. If some teams want to change their player during the season, they should pick among draftees

3.Current players can not resign with current teams. If they want to play in KBL again, they should apply for tryouts.

4.The first round picked player can get maximum 35,000 USD per month, Second round player can get maximum 25,000 USD per month (all including taxes)

5.These players are prohibited who got a NBA career the past three seasons or a Euroleague quarter finalist the past two seasons.

Surprisingly well. I only saw him play once or twice live but he always looked good to me. Here are his box scores. The first one is a season average, the 2nd breaks down each game:

Rust could be a problem for Anyang KGC and Wonju Dongbu Promy when they start their series against their respective challengers. But the long rest is good for their players' recovery.

For one, KGC's Oh Se-Keun admitted fatigue during their last games of the regular season.

I'd say it was for Wonju today. Played well in the 1st quarter and then horribly in the 2nd and third. Had a shot to win it down the stretch so as bad as they played hopefully they can bounce back.

Anyang KGC and Busan Sonicboom KT did not play well. Anyang showing some rust and Busan showing signs of fatigue, but Anyang scrapes by 54-51 lead by Oh Se-Keun with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Anyang KGC is up 2-0 against Busan Sonicboom KT. Later on, it is the Wonjo Dongbu Promy and the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus series that is at a deadlock with 1 a piece.
