    Default Andrew and Aaron Harrison

The Twins from Travis H.S. (TX) are considered on the Elite Class of 2013. Both are currently listed as 6'4 and 205 lbs. Despite being twins, both do not play the same position for their team as both start at the back-court with an incredible on-court and off-court cohesion. On-court, their two man game is potent; knowing and always aware of each others response.

Andrew Harrison is a point guard that is a nightmare on the perimeter; able to penetrate at will. Andrew punishes small guards and exploits bigger defenders on the perimeter. Andrew has the mid-range game and the long range game to complement his play-making skills. Andrew's game also translates into defense where his lateral quickness allows him to guard anyone on the perimeter and the physique to challenge bigger players on rebounds. Andrew can play off-guard, but is more comfortable playing the point guard role.

Aaron Harrison was trained as a shooting guard on playing alongside his twin. Aaron has the mid range and long range game to go along with his improving offensive sets like the ability to navigate-catch-and-shoot both on and off screens and the ability to drive towards the basket. Unlike his twin, Aaron still needs to work on his dribbling and passing skills for the triple threat game that shooting guards perform.

Both made good impression on the recently concluded Under Armor (Best of the Best) Combine Event.

    Snippet from ESPN:

The Harrison twins from Travis High School in Houston showed their talent in spurts this weekend. Aaron Harrison attacked the rim hard in the open floor, while also showing a proficient one-on-one skill set from a standstill. Andrew Harrison showed the great blend of size and feel that makes him one of the premier point guards in the nation

ESPN's Recap of the Adidas Invitationals on Andrew and Aaron Harrison

    Aaron Harrison (Houston/ Travis)
    2013, SG/PG, 6-5, 205 pounds
Harrison (like his twin brother) can play either of the three perimeter positions. That versatility is a major strength and he can score and distribute. He is probably best on the wing but he can definitely be a combo guard. He is a streaky shooter with range to 22 feet and an excellent slasher thanks to his skill set and strong body.

    Andrew Harrison (Houston/ Travis)
    2013, PG/SG, 6-5, 210 pounds
Maybe slightly better than his brother, Andrew is best with the ball in his hands. He can create for himself and his teammates. We are not sure what position he will play at the next level but he will be on the floor at one of the three perimeter spots. He is best when moving forward and playing in attack mode because he can go right or left and plays with very little wasted motion. Both he and his brother could improve on their decision making, but most of the mistakes they make are made from being aggressive.

The Harrison Twins seem to be interested in playing for the University of Kentucky as John Calipari stated his interest in signing the twins.

Meanwhile, the Twins played on AAU 11th grade Super Showcase. They lead the Houston Defenders over the BABC selection 55-45. Aaron scored 18 points and netted 8 rebounds. While Andrew had 10 points and 10 assists.

Says you. Care to elaborate why? Is is because of Aaron "Air" Gordon?

Some publications are suggesting that the Kentucky Wildcats are making the Harrison twins as top priority for the 2013 recruitment.

In the current 2013 ESPN rankings Andrew is #4 overall (Jabari Parker is #1) and Aaron #7. Both are ranked #1 in their respective roles.

Harrison twins led the USA Elite team to the victory (first time since 2007) at the Tourcoing (France) U23 World Tournament, beating CBA (Canarias Basketball Academy) 63-55 (28-35) in the final game.
Aaron Harrison was named best scorer of the tournament.
The final game was a tough battle, long led by the Spanish team (mainly made of international players) but the athleticism of the young USA team prevailed in the last quarter.
CBA beat USA Elite team in a prelim game 60-56 but wasn't able to repeat in the final.
USA Elite team was made of 2012 and 2013 class players (among others, Drew Davis, Savon Goodman, Cameron Ridley, Robert Upshaw etc.) and coached by Linzy Davis.
