These players (and so many others before them) have been banned for drug use (mainly cannabis). Not steroids!

Those with legal background, will surely agree that the term "Illegal substances" is a very nice way to say that "it's up to me to select which substances are allowed and which are not".

And if you bother looking briefly into what kind of substances are listed as "illegal" in the NBA, you will be amazed to find that this list does not match the WADA one...
no,just no.Mayo and Lewis were suspended for takin steroids.
i provided a link in the greek nt thread about nba s anti doping programm.they test for every illegal substance not just recrational drugs, that's just an urban myth

I mean seriously.............he can sign in the NBA now and they can provide him with an endless supply of whatever dope he wants.
Spanoulis was so crap he couldn't average more than 2 points per game in nba despite having access to any kind of dope he wanted.

I'm curious, when was an NBA player caught using dope? Hard to imagine no one uses it and no one was caught.

The NBA does NOT test for anabolic steroids. The NBA does NOT test for HGH. This was confirmed by the US congressional investigation into the NBA's anti-doping policy.

They only test for any drug that could be abused in an addictive drug abuse manner. They DO NOT test for anabolic steroids nor HGH. PERIOD.

Those players were suspended for testing positive for substances that are used as abusive and addictive drugs.

The NBA even admitted to the US congress that they own the company that does the drug testing and that they never allow any independent body like WADA to see the results. And that they do NOT test for PEDs, like WADA does.

Sorry for the offtopic and coming back to this. Although I dont follow who is doped and who is not, I just today read that PAO's footballer Wawrzyniak was found doped in 2009 but also volleyball player Christofidelis. For the latter and following your way of thought, after 14 years of a great career with Olympiakos and as he got old he moved to PAO and within months he got caught being doped...

Wawzyrniak took something his NT gave him, according to what he said.

And according to the tapes Bourousis was given "vitamins" by his father in law who has nothing to do with Olympiakos. But to be honest I don't care what Wawzyrniak did, I didn't even know this player existed. My point is that because players are caught doped you cannot blame the team for that especially if it is a single player. Even more you can't just blame a whole club that has something as a company strategy to drug its athletes. (Well the weightlifting NT is an exception I guess...)

From what we know the drug he took had an "instant" effect. He was taking it the day of the game. So that doesn't explain anything about February. Also we know that he was drugged at least in one game against Sienna. In Euroleague as far as we know they perform doping tests so one can argue that the drug was probably not traceable for him taking the risk. If that's the case then he would be playing doped in february. I cant see why you would dope a player if you keep him off the team. Except if it was another drug back then, but we have no proof about that.

For all we know this guy gave Bouroussis something which had a placebo effect. His father in law looks like a crook anyways.

The only part you are right is about HGH. The rest is your usual nonsense regarding the NBA bogeyman you always rail against with a lot of baloney and outright lies. It's amazing how many times you get shown evidence of being wrong and you still plow ahead as if it never occurred.

You are the Sarah Palin of Interbasket, plowing forward with a bunch of crap and ignoring the contrary evidence all around you.

Well, one has to wonder why he was out for 1 month so his "metabolic rates can be fixed" and then caught on tape saying he is taking drugs. Maybe they wanted his body to clear up, maybe they wanted to punish him so he would stop using them. But for sure they knew.

Officially he is a nightclub and race horse owner. Unofficially, he riggs foorball games and horse races, deals drugs and guns, owns prostitutes etc.

His father was a priest, I live 5 minutes from the church he was at, you should hear the horror stories about him...

    Tony Kukoc before NBA
Tony Kukoc after 3 months training with the Bulls

It's amazing what 3 months of weightlifting can do....
It's not as if he was also training before on a daily basis....

Ok, the latest is that Bouroussis will play for the Greek NT. Unless someone proves him guilty, he will be part of the team.
