Default Former and Future NBA players in Asian leagues by year

I've always wanted to compile a list, so I will be working on that, and hopefully others can chip in. Must have appeared in an official (not preseason or summer league) NBA game to count. Check basketball-reference.com when in doubt.

It's not difficult to do for the recent seasons, only by looking at last year roster of the team which made the playoffs in the Chinese Basketball Association, you can find:

    Bateer Mengke
    James Singleton
    Quincy Douby
    Marcus Haislip
    Courtney Sims
    Jerome Moiso
    Josh Boone
    Marcus Williams
    ZhiZhi Wang

if it's just former and future NBA players who played a single minute of NBA action, there's too many to mention who have played in the PBA. i'll let the others who'll find this thread do that. but the ones who had decent careers in the NBA:

    1979 - Larry McNeill (Gilbey's)
    1979 - Glenn McDonald (U/Tex)
    1983 - Kevin Porter (Toyota)
1983 - Billy Ray Bates (Crispa, Añejo)
    1988 - Kevin Gamble (Ginebra)
    1994 - Leon Wood (Purefoods)
2004 - Cedric Ceballos (San Miguel)

Bates led the Portland Trailblazers in scoring during the '80 and '81 playoffs despite getting swept both times, went to the Philippines after the Lakers cut him in '83 and became arguably the best player the PBA has ever seen.

Porter led the NBA in assists in '75, '78, '79, and '81 but came to the PBA passed his prime.

McDonald was the guy who finished off the Suns in what's known as the "Greatest Game in NBA History" when the Celtics beat the Suns in game 5 of the '76 Finals.

Gamble was an NBA bench warmer and sucked in the PBA, came back to the NBA with the Celtics and became a starter.
