One of my coworkers loaned me their album "How I Got Over." I'm not a huge rap fan (I like some of the older songs when I hear them on the radio), but wow! This was a great album! Unlike a lot of rap I hear, there isn't any sampling or throwing in little sound-bites and stuff like that. It's just the singers, drums, guitar, maybe a keyboard or brass, and a beautiful bass player. Great lyrics for the most part, too. Are there any other rap bands like that?
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

    Here's my top 10:

    1. Michael Jackson (Thriller)
    2. Nirvana (Nevermind)
    3. Oasis (What's the Story Morning Glory)
    4. Santana (Supernatural)
    5. Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory)
    6. Metallica (Metallica...aka Black Album)
    7. Madonna (The Immaculate Collection)
    8. Alannis Morissette (Jagged Little Pill)
    9. Eminem (The Marshal Mathers LP)
    10. Artful Dodger (It's All About the Stragglers) ... (I had to include something from the dance-garage scene since I really enjoy listening to such type of music)

I could also add Michael Jackson (Bad) in there as well but I already mentioned him with Thriller

    -Nightfall in Middle-Earth, Blind Guardian
    -Images and Words, Dream Theater
    -Rust in Peace, Megadeth
    -Operation: Mindcrime, Queensryche
-Scenes from a Memory, Dream Theater
    -...And Justice for All, Metallica
    -Powerslave, Iron Maiden
-With Oden on Our Side, Amon Amarth
-So Far... So Good... So What?, Megadeth
-Battlestar Galactica Season 3 Soundtrack, Bear McCreary

Pretty much a variety of combinations out of this ten, depending on my mood.
But NiME is always at top, with I think the two best power metal songs of all time: Time Stands Still and Noldor
