According to the organizers, the "USA All-Stars" would include Paul Pierce and Michael Beasley (what is the relationships between them? I have no idea. KU alumni & KSU alumni, hmmm...) Would not bet anything on that but I'm just passing along information. Typically, "USA All-Stars" in Chinese means randomly assembled free agents who have played some basketball but don't stand a chance of playing abroad.

Edit: OK this is the USA team:

Heard that the Cairns Taipans beat the USA team by 30; are there any stats available for these games; or videos/pics?

<--Pierce at FT line, you can see Beasley in top right corner.

Both Pierce and Beasley played in the first half but still Cairns got up 43-19 and I don't know the final score but 30pt seems right. Yesterday Cairns beat Xinjiang 79-66 but it wasn't nearly as close as it was 48-19 at one point. Unfortunately these 3 teams are playing in a very forlorn place named Shuangyashan (literally "Two-Duck Mountain") so I don't have too much info. While the other 3 teams are playing in Beijing's super-arena Wukesong (or MasterCard center) and I have plenty of pics from that site. LOL @ differential treatment.

Xinjiang: Nobody. Beijing: I heard Randolph Morris will play. They may also play Taiwan's Lee Hsueh-Lin, which would be ridiculous considering his NT needs him and FIBA-Asia is not too far away

Wonju played an import today in the 59-71 loss against Berlin, the very famous Rod Benson. Berlin of course is stacked with imports.

Alba Berlin beat Beijing 82-77 today, despite 31 points and 15 rebounds from Randolph Morris. They play Cairns Taipans in the final.
