pacland is busy tonight with lots of different views and debates

first,i watched it via live stream, i thought marquez won.
i watched it again in GMA7 and i saw pacman connecting shots and marquez, though looking good, wasnt really landing his punches cleanly and solidly. most of the time it landed only in pacman's arms and gloves.
i gave it to pacquiao 7 rounds to 5. 115-113.

now downloading the hbo version. i'll watch it again for the 3rd time

LOL pacquiao won clearly :P it seems that marquez really had a decreased in power which was obviously not visible on our LIVESTREAMS

You should not have waited Manny to come in. You did not carry the fight. You were not the agressor. You were swinging badly from 9 to 12 rounds. Your corner made you to believe that you were leading, while in fact you were only credited with 10 points each for 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th rounds. Try to review the video and try to mute the video. 116-112 for Manny Pacquiao is a convincing score. What is lacking is the total domination of the fight by Pacquiao tha's why viewers were not satisfied of the outcome.

Pacquiao thrown 578 punches connecting 176 while Marquez had it 436 connecting 138. Pacquiao threw 304 jabs connecting 59 to Marquez's 182 with 38 connects. Pacquiao threw 274 power punches connecting 117 while Marquez threw 254 with 100 connecting. To everyone debating pts: as a challenger, you have to upstage champ to win. Close fights always go to title holder. you do the math: pacman(reigning WBO welterweight champion)/marquez(challenger).

Before when Pacquiao scored knocdowns - all we heard was that Marquez landed more shots - even fight except for the knockdowns. Now Pacquiao has landed more shots than Marquez in every department - total thrown, total landed, jabs thrown, jabs landed, power punches thrown, power punches landed - Now they are crying "Marquez landed the cleaner shots" what sissies - You cannot be the CHALLENGER and not be aggressive and take the belt away from champion to win the title - The aggressor always gets the nod. In their previous 2 fights pundits always used the punch statistics to point out why Marquez should have won, now they are singing a different tune.

the challenger should bring the fight to the champion and not other way around. pacquiao bring the fight to marquez the whole 12 rounds and marquez counter puching, pacman throw more and connect more.the judges did it right pacquiao to win by small margin..

Pacquiao-Marquez III statistics: Pacquiao has thrown 578 punches connecting 176 while Marquez had it 436 connecting 138. Pacquiao threw 304 jabs connecting 59 to Marquez's 182 with 38 connects. Pacquiao threw 274 power punches connecting 117 while Marquez threw 254 with 100 connecting. Is it still not convincing?

After the fight, me and 10 other friends were a tad bit ashamed to be a Filipino because of the obvious robbery earlier today.

Ganito pala feeling when you're on the short end of the stick

i feel for Marquez he really deserved that victory.

After watching all of their previous fights a number of times plus this one.. It did end all doubt that Marquez was and always will be the better boxer. That left to the body and the overhand right as i was saying all along was really bothering Manny. Styles make fights ika nga...

I think Marquez proved that Manny was the same fighter 7 years ago when they first met contrary to what Coach Freddie was saying that he improved tremendously.

It really sucks, i know deep down Marquez beat Manny quite comfortably.

I think they had based the scores on the damage of the each rounds.
marquez still got his flawless boxing techniques but the problem is that
it seems that he wasnt able to punish pacquiao enough aside from the cut on pacquiaos left eye. I saw the scorecards when i watched Unang Hirit this morning. And all i can say is "LOL"

The cut was from a headbutt.

But it does not matter, Marquez hit Pacquiao with stronger punches and Pacquiao did not ever threaten Marquez.

We lost. But the judges said we won. We move on.

    On to Mayweather.

your opinion was same as mine when i first watch the fight

i dunno but watching the second fight i found a little bit of optimism towards the fight.

as you'll look at the eye of Marquez, its a little bit close or should i say its totally shut down by by the punches of pacquiao.

i dont know how did they score the bout but i say the their scorecards
and it showed that pacquiao had won the middle rounds and the last part of 2 or 3 rounds.

eventhough im still convince that it should be a draw
at least Gayweather will have the false confidence to fight Pacquiao

The lone winner in this fight is Bob Arum. He will be setting up another fight with both of them and cash in more money. Boxing has never been a clean sport and will never be. Marquez should have known, that he can only win through a clear knockout.

Watched the replays of both Primetime and HBO versions over and over, muted the sounds and to the point of watching it in slowmo and the right man won. He wasn't as dominant as people are used to seeing him annihilate the opposition and I commend Marquez and his camp for that but like true champions and legends even in their bad days they still find ways to carve out victories from impending defeat. I'm proud of Manny. May he continue to be blessed in this dangerous sport so he can continue to bring pride and honor for the Philippines and share his wealth to the needy and deserving.

Weh? Come on now. Knowing this could be one of the last bouts by Manny? And ultimately, it was the best non-Mayweather fight... Pacman dominated Cotto. Then the fluke of a loss against Bradley-- who by the way can not draw a fly with the PPV sales or the gates.

Nothing we can do, at least this fight people can say Manny has point to prove in his fight as no way that he will fight a young and upcoming fighter or stud out there

True. It could be one of his last bouts, but come on, he's got nothing to prove against Marquez anymore and I doubt that this fight will draw huge PPV sales. I really don't think "neutral" boxing fans (not Pacquiao and Marquez die hards) won't buy a fourth fight.

Yes yes and yes... But do you have a better option aside from the Mayweather fight?

    None.
