This wasn't as painful as 2002 but still painful.

Heartbreak kids of Asia, you can start calling us that until we get over the hump.

Anyway, expect JV to become better. We'll also see these 2 guys, play against each other. This will be a good match up to look out for in the PBA. Passing of the torch?

HBK of Asia. hehehe. The pain between the 2 loses is different anyway but both games were actually ours for the taking. It's just freethrows are our waterloo during end games for both.

Passing of the Torch-Jimmy Alapag comforts JV CAsio after the latter made a desperation trey in the dying seconds during the bronze medal game against the South Koreans in the 26th FIBA Asia Championships in Wuhan, China last Sept. 15-25, 2011. Final score was 70-68.

SGP, let's make it to the 27th FIBA Asia Championships in 2013 where 3 slots are available for the 2014 FIBA World Cup plus 1 wild card for an FIBA World Qualifying Tournament.

the Philippines placed four times ranked number four and one time ranked number one since china participated in the Asian basketball championship.

placed four were in the 1979, 1981, 1987 and the recently concluded 2011. and only one champion in 1986.

since 1985. the Philippines did not participate twice. in 2001 & 2005. and several times using the amateur players to compete.
