Just to give you a clue... Think about EFC season... which is the player that you think allowed you to rank 2nd?... you can choose among stable ones like BMc, Krstic, Macvan that you kept long time... or maybe one that exploded yust one/dwo day... and you pick/leave him at the right time....

Here is some summary data about the initial Euroleague fantasy prices last year. V is the total of all the player prices per team, # of Pl. is the number of players per team, V/Pl. is the average player price per team, 70+ is the number of players with a price of 70 or more per team, 60-69 is the number of players with a price of 60-69 per team, and the grey column indicates the average player price for the 11 highest priced players per team (gives a more realistic sense of the relative strength of teams). The second chart shows the distribution of player prices for all teams. For a detailed list of last year's initial fantasy prices, see here.

There are a few things worth noticing. If you exclude the NBA lockout players Batum and Pekovic, there were 8 teams with no player priced at 60 or above. A whopping 58% of players were priced between 30-59. If it hadn't been for Olympiakos' upset of Montepaschi in the QF of the playoffs last year, the average player price per team ranking (V/Pl.) would have accurately predicted the final four participants.

I have not included players who did not play at all in the first 5 weeks of last season. The list is Kerem Gonlum, Krzystof Szubarga, Devin Brown, Leroy Nobles, Amaury Jadin, Mickael Gelabale, Federico Bolzonella, John Goldsberry, Maurice Stuckey, Maciej Lampe, Dejan Musli, Nikita Kurbanov, Dmitry Sokolov, Hakan Demirel, Marko Tomas, Can Maxim Mutaf, Rasid Mahalbasic, Evren Buker, Haluk Yildirim, Jon Scheyer, Kostas Sloukas, Panos Vasilopoulos, Stratos Perperoglou, Pat Calathes, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Branislav Djekic, Novica Velickovic, Uros Tripkovic, Goran Jagodnik, Toni Prostran, Mario Hezonja, Arturas Milaknis, Art Parahouski, Dwayne Broyles.

Also, I have not included players such as Sean May and Serge Ibaka who were added after the initial list of players was announced. I do not have access to their starting price so I can't include them in the analysis. P0 refers to the initial price list, W1 refers to Week 1, and so on.

Last year, the prices were released 2 weeks before games started (prices released Oct. 3; Round 1 of regular season started Oct. 17)

This year, the regular season starts a week earlier on Oct. 11, so we might expect the prices to be released on Sep. 27 or thereabouts.

EDIT: Since the Qualifying tournament ends Sep. 28, the earliest the prices will be released will be Sep. 29. I contacted Javi and he indicated that he has already set the prices for the players on the already qualified teams. So it seems that he is just waiting for the QR team to be determined before releasing the list.

The guys at In The Game are predicting per game season stats for all Euroleague players. This can be a useful resource for fantasy players.
