Very good victory for Argentina, specially considering that the team is missing two of its stars (Gabriel Deck and Rodrigo Haag) whom are playing for the argentinian U18 team at the Tournament of Americas U18 in Brasil. They will join the team back in a few days.

    US final team announced.

Last cuts being Rondae Jefferson and Dom Collier, the U17 squad comprises 7 former members of 2011 U16 team (Jabari Parker, Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Stanley Johnson, Kendrick Nunn, Conner Frankamp and Johnathan WIlliams) and other 3 who were already part of the 2011 Developmental team (Dakari Johnson, Beejay Anya and Stephen Domingo). Joel Berry and Justise Winslow are new additions.

The team will shortly leave for Europe where it will play the Gran Canaria (SP) tournament on June 24-25. Spain, Australia and Latvia are the other participating teams.

    Canada NT announced.

Neither Wiggins nor Lyles (currently at Fiba Americas) will join the team, which is based upon the 2011 U16 squad, plus Tanveer Bhullar.
That's a good team but nothing more, unless dramatic improvements of its players.
We'll see them next days at Douai Tournament with host France, Argentina, China, Croatia and Egypt.

Everybody knows "Chopstick Yao" Zhou Qi, but I'm looking forward to the plays of Han Delong (193cm PG/SG). Some of the other players aren't bad, but will see how they look. A lot of changes from last year's U16 roster, but I'm too lazy to check that. All in all this generation is considered deeper than previous years.

What about Qi Zou's physical situation? He was looking like a ''chopstick'' like you said in Türk Telekom tournament but he has great touch and fundamental

Thanks. I will be watching Guo Xioapeng. He had a good outing in last month's 4-Nations International Invitational in Shaanxi.

In Douai tournament opener, France defeated Argentina 75-66 in a game that was very close through Q3 (54-52). Then France's Damien Inglis (16pts, 15reb, 4ast and 3bs) pushed his team comfortably ahead. Other players scoring in double digits, Olivier Yao Delon (Fra) with 12 and Argentina's Lucas Gargallo (12) and Lucio Reinaudi (10).
Argentina waiting for U18 team's Gabriel Deck and Rodrigo Haag.

No, afaik. Here's the main link: http://www.tournoi-douai.fr/ but it's worth nothing.

In the meantime, Croatia-Egypt 48-45 at halftime. Excellent performance by the African team vs European champs so far, in a high scoring game, where both teams score 51% from the field. And Egypt ties Croatia in rebounding !

Croatia-Egypt 91-78, game over after Q3. Hezonja 17, Bender 12, Bosnjak, Marinelli, Zganec 11 for the winners, Ahmed Mohamed with 16 best scorer for Egypt.

I read something (can't remember where) that this Egypt team is called the Dream Team of Africa as it is the most promising generation of players to come from one country in quite some time. Is anyone familiar with these prospects and if so is the 'Dream Team' tag accurate?

You probably read about Egypt here .
Imo Egyptian boys are lacking the necessary international experience/contacts to really be among the best. Anyway, it seems today that they fought at least one half very well with the European champions of Croatia.

Canada started the Douai tournament convincingly beating China 99-76, after a very close first half (45-43).
Good team's effort from Canadian team that had all players scoring and 5 in double digits. For China, Qi Zhou as usual (21pts+11reb), then Delong Han (13) and Linyi Yang (12).
