Hahahahaha! THe only reason why people look forward to seeing Season 88 is because of ARMON and OLA. if MANCOM will suspend both players, what's there to look forward to? Arellano's Fil-ams? I don't think so....

without SBC, NCAA will forever be the SECOND most popular collegiate league in the Philippines...

    THINK MANCOM, THINK!

^^^ See what I mean MANCOM? This ain't like the UAAP where the three big names play (AdMU, DLSU and UP) this is NCAA, and let's face it, only SBC draws the crowd...

    Think MANCOM, THINK!

What do you think will happen to the Oldest League if SBC will bolt out?

Given. But do you think it's reasonable to suspend Ola and Armon for a year? from the pictures, they're a mile away from the chaos. Lim, Marcelo, Gorayeb, The ssc-r players, the guards and M.Lim are the ones who are clearly engaged on the said squabble. BUT.... Why Ola and Armon?

    Malansa ang MANCOM...

"if YOU can't BEAT them SUSPEND them"

is this the theme for SEASON 88? I'm LOVIN' IT!

even though several personalities are liable for their actions and deserved to be sanctioned but the penalties handed down were to excessive and actually exaggerated. The Policy Board needs to explain why each person deserves such a punishment, for each crime must have a justifiable punishment. I too could not understand why Ola and Julius merited a 1 year ban .....

Roaring Red Lions capture Fr. Martin Collegiate Open Cup
    by Mike Abasolo

    Saturday, 25 February 2012

The San Beda Red Lions prevented an early 1st quarter surge by the Arellano University Chiefs to capture the 8th Father Martin’s Collegiate Open Cup plum, 89-66, at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.

After 4 deadlocks and 6 lead changes, the Red Lions took command of the ballgame with a 12-0 run in the middle of the 2nd quarter, 42-30, with Rome de la Rosa, Baser Amer and Julius Armon leading the way for San Beda.

After finishing the 1st half with a 46-35 lead, the Red Lions completely overwhelmed the Chiefs on the defensive end then raced to an 18-point lead to finish the 3rd quarter, 71-53, and never looked back.

Jake Pascual had 20-points for San Beda followed by Armon with 16-points, 15-points from Dela Rosa while Ola Adeogun had 14-points

Only 2 players from the Chiefs were in double figures. AJ had 11-points and James Forrester had 10-points for Arellano. Rocky Acidre and Keith Agovida had 9-points each followed by Nard Pinto with 8-points and Ralph Salcedo and Vergel Zulueta with 6-points apiece.

    Quarter-scoring: 20-17, 46-35, 71-53, 89-66
FOUR-ward for the Big Red Machine

I can't understand why the NCAA hasn't released an official statement about this. Taking the SBC team hostage as long as you can? Just issue the statement so we can file our appeal!

forgive? what did they do? the 2 coaches needs to be handled accordingly. the suspension looks excessive but then they did something "bad" so that's that. for the rest of the RL, specifically Ola and Armon, what did they do in the first place? there are no reports that mentioned them being in the heat of the action even if trouble started with the Stag VL team and Ola. If Ola is to be punished then the whole Stag VL team should also. if we will follow the logic of the suspension. I have no idea why Armon got involved. all the interviews that was shown, tv or online article, didnt mention Armon. why is he getting suspended? what did he or Ola, who got subjected to discrimanation(as per reports, we dont know the truth there), do that they need to be forgiven? you need to do something wrong before you get forgiven. if you didnt do anything bad, why are you being forgiven?

NCAA comes down hard on Lim, Gorayeb for role in San Beda-San Sebastian brawl

The NCAA Policy board meted two-year suspensions to San Beda basketball coach Frankie Lim and San Sebastian volleyball coach Roger Gorayeb last week after completing its investigation regarding a brawl that broke out between their teams at the San Beda campus last year, according to a reliable source close to the situation.

Last December, the two coaches engaged in a heated verbal exchange that led to a fracas during an NCAA volleyball game at the St. Placid’s Gym in San Beda. Gorayeb and a female San Sebastian volleyball player, Mae Crisostomo, were hurt during the incident.

The incident started after San Beda’s Nigerian center Ole Adeogun heard chants by male San Sebastian volleyball players that he perceived as a racial slur. But the spikers denied the charge, saying they were misheard and that they were only shouting a standard volleyball warm-up chant that was not directed at Adeogun.

The source added that multiple Red Lions members will also be suspended. Filipino-American guard Julius Armon and Nigerian center Ola Adeogun, who are serving residency for San Beda, will have to wait another season to play for the team. Red Lions players Melo Lim, the coach’s son, Kyle Pascual, Jake Pascual, JP Mendoza, Rome dela Rosa, Baser Amer, and Anjo Caram were meted a one-game suspension.

But board spokesperson Ramon Cercado said that the sanctions are not yet final. San Beda and San Sebastian are both expected to appeal the suspensions.

Mancom just waiting for one more signature from one of the members to pass down the decision re San Beda. WIll it be the same as their first decision? Or was it revised in favor of the Red Lions?

Also, Ola filed a case against MANCOM for disregarding the racial slurs thrown at him via The Commission of Human Rights...

Folks, this is gonna be one hell of a F*cking court room drama....

Anyone knows what San Beda Law's bar passing percentage is?

... Oh, right... San Beda Mendiola Passing Percentage is 95% with No. 7, Eirene Acosta and No. 10 Rodolfo Aquino...
