To the oldtimers ..... do you still remember the battles on-and-off the court in Rizal Memorial and nearby Harrison Plaza. Remember the closed-door game at the Araneta Coliseum. History had shown that the Red and Blue rivalry is actually more fiercer than that of the Blue and Green. Do still remember those long colorful and Loud Motorcades done by both schools .....

If ever .... this will really give MVP a very big problem.

As they say "bawal mamangka sa dalawang ilog", he would need to choose.
That was back in 1977 when the Red Lions earned the monicker "THE SUPER SPOILERS" preventing the Blue Eagles a 3 peat.

    From Christian Soler's twitter:

    christiansoler Christian Soler

Coaching carousel begins. Aric del Rosario takes over Perpetual Help c/o @balinguyngoy, with Koy Banal earlier committing to Arellano.

twitter reports that the san beda red lions basketball team (dave marcelo was at the forefront) just had a fight with san sebastian....not with the men's basketball team though, but san sebastian's women's volleyball team...where are your morals?

Okay, so you're questioning someone's morals based on Twitter reports?

It was not men against women. It was men against men. The men's VT of Baste called Ola an "unggoy", not knowing that he can understand Tagalog. Unggoy is a racial slur. Of course, Coach FL stood up to protect his player against these slurs. Things got heated between Coach FL and the coach of Baste. It was just unfortunate that the WVT got caught in the crossfire.

Twitter reports are exaggerated. For example, Joey Villar said initially that it's the whole Red Lions team pero hindi naman.

It was also the Baste coach who threw the first punch. We all know that once a punch is thrown, chaos follows. There could be threats, P.Is, shoves, etc. but it can easily be contained. But once a punch is thrown, it all goes to hell.

I'm not talking as a fan. I'm talking as someone who sympathizes with Ola. I also know that he'll get tons of those slurs during games. But being called an unggoy right in your face? I'm pretty sure Abueva will be pissed-off if that happens to him.

Besides, they came to the Red Lions' Den and disrespected a player who was just passing by. It's like someone coming inside your home and you accommodate him, only for him to call you an unggoy. I'm pretty sure I won't get out alive if I go inside Baste and call Abueva an unggoy.

But again, there are no credible and complete reports yet. I'm just pointing out the fact that you questioned someone's morals when you don't know the full story yet. Best we just wait for the complete news. See? You didn't even know that it wasn't between the RL and the Lady Stags.

Even Miakka and a reporter (forgot his name) are exchanging heated tweets regarding what happened but for me having a SSC vs Perpetual game in SBC campus is like chaos in the making.

    2 things are underscored here:
    - Filipinos are blatant racists and one of the worst in the world yet we're the first to cry when we're at the bitter of it
    - sportsmanship among athletes and levelheadedness of their coaches questionable; what do they have to prove? that because their athletes and that because they wield power however miniscule it may be, they can resort to violence and can get away with it?

then one thing can be proven after this: whitewash and slap in the wrist. pwe!

That's okay, man. I'm pretty sure it was just a knee-jerk reaction after reading the report. It's Joey Villar's fault for tweeting something like that.

I don't really know if Miakka was at the venue. Yes, she's fuming mad. She's also tweeting "mirons" who are quick to judge.

Let's get one thing straight. Violence is never the answer, no matter what the other party did. But it's easier said than done. But come on. They had the guts to visit our house and issue a racial slur right in Ola's face thinking that he can get away with it. Unfortunately, Ola understood since he knows Tagalog. Once the initial punch was thrown, of course chaos will follow.

I'm also pissed off that Gorayeb is playing innocent, saying that he doesn't know what caused the chaos. He was right in the middle of it.

Villar said that he's now writing his article. Let's wait for it.

from the looks of this photo Gorayeb is on attack mode. Coach Gorayeb is notorious in hurling invectives, same with Coach Frankie ..... I could imagine the kind of exchange of words that the two had. Such heated exchange could really escalate to a brawl.
