Finaly there was periods we loked good in this qualyfications. Is Saric to young? No. This was first "real" test for him and he was one of best players tonight, maybe best overeall on bouth sides of court. There is no doub, he is senior and there is no poit sending him on some "U" gase so we coud drag with some junior medals. Hope Repesa is aware of that

I said coach why we practice so much. He said God will bless us after all this hard work. How can I argue with that !

    Approximate Third place standings

    Latvia 4-2 +66
    Serbia 5-3 +86*
    Turkey 3-3 +16
    Austria 3-4 +16
    --------------------------
    Bulgaria 3-4 -3**
    Switzerland 3-4 -93***

    *Second due to win percentage
** Sweden has the tie breaker over Bulgaria but has played fewer games. (3-3 +42)
*** Belgium has the tie breaker over the Swiss but has played fewer games (3-3 +34)

So long as Latvia and Serbia pick up one more win they should be safe. This is a lot easier for Latvia though.

While Turkey is in third Sweden and Belgium have better PD's, and with Sweden playing Luxembourg and Belgium playing Albania, Turkey really needs to win their last two to be on the safe side.

I prefer Turkey not to qualify for Eurobasket.
After this idiotic loses form Italy away and tonight at home + losing to Czech Rep. by 18, we better stay at home next summer.
And qualifying as a 3rd best placed team, is shamefull for me..............

Turkey plays away with Portugal and home with Czech Republic
Sweden hosts Germany and visiting Luxembourg
Belgium vs. Finland at home and Albania away

I'd expect both, Sweden and Belgium losing one more game for a tie with Bulgaria, which even if playing vs. Luxembourg at home has a tough job overcoming such point difference.

As for Turkey, Dtown is right, a potential loss hosting Czech republic would be a dissaster and could potentialy put them even behind both, Sweden and Belgium... clearly didn't expect such a close battle to happen.

Weird system, with some bad luck draw, Montenegro or Latvia could be in Turkey's group instead of Portugal...

I came home from school very nervous, and went to see the BiH-Georgia score. Was thrilled when I saw we won. We're basically qualified now. We just have to beat Romania on Saturday to qualify, with a 6-2 record.

Azerbaijan's last night's victory over Sweden wasn't quite enough. If Germany wins and Luxembourg loses all their games, AZE/BUL/SWE will finish equal on points. The head-to-head record is the tie-break and if it comes to that, the final ranking is: 2nd SWE, 3rd BUL, 4th AZE. Azerbaijan can finish higher than 4th only if they beat Germany away from home or if Luxembourg wins a game. Neither looks likely... but, of course, there's no way of knowing.

In fact, BiH is already through. The 3rd-placed teams in Groups A and C will at best finish with 6/4 and 4/4 records respectively. 5/3 is better than either, so anyone with five wins in groups B–F is already through (BiH, Czech Republic, Finland). In Group A, Serbia and Israel have lost three games each but will still play each other which means at least one of them gets a fourth loss.

    Estonia beats Serbia 88-81

We've been talking about Turkey possibly not qualifying, but now it is Serbia who is real danger of not making it. Estonia has Iceland last so them finishing 6-4 is very real, and that would make the game against Israel a do or die game.

we played indian basket without repesa. only positive we start winnig with game winners and that saric once again was dominate figure in minutes when he was on court. now i'm sure, if he gets fair minutes in good competition by time eurbasket starts he could alredy be our best player.

We finally hit all those OPEN threes we didnt against Montenegro and Israel at home, perfect game in that sense.
And also had bit of a luck, Arbet and Sokk shots going in after some serious bouncing on the rim, Serbia not getting 2 points on falling basket, Kangur perfectly positioning himself to flop and draw foul out of Krstic and no typical unforced mistakes by Estonian team at all.
Still what surprised me about Serbia, how individually they tried, Krstic had his way under the basket always when he got the ball and Teodosic still preferred to chuck up threes himself or pass to contested three-point shooters. Funny how Ivkovic cant make his iron fist to work? I remember few years ago they also lost away to Finland, which is stronger team of course than Estonia at the moment.

That's simple our mentality, with same team we reached final at Eurobasket 2009 and semifinal at WC 2010, they constantly talking how this team is young and its still forming blabla and i cant see any progress in the last 2 years but opposite, and now we cant beat Estonia, but big respect to Estonia for great match, they were really fighting unlike our "stars". Our whole game comes to give ball to Teodosić so he can shoot for 3p (and he is not good at that, and also shooting without any reasoning) and Krstić, but Krstić had ok game and he saved us from some +20 win.

While that Teodosić did nothing in the last 3 games against main opponents in the group, he just killing our game, Ivković at same time not giving chance to Nedović who would 100% play better than him, i would rather call even Aleksandar Cvetković than Teodosić. Ivković should really resign after match with Israel no matter if we qualify or not.

    Amazing! Congrats to Estonia!
Not that much amazing considering how we play.

Nemanja Nedović dunk, while Teodosić doing his lazy "big star" style of play throughout the match (its ridiculous how he dont even try to block players that shooting in front of him, one of the reasons why Estonians scored so many easy points). Rašić, Anđušić, Tepić, Savanović, those players should never again be selected for nt.

Great EC 2013 qualifying campaign from my country. I'm proud of our first place finish. Teletovic, Dedovic, Wright, etc. all performed so great. Can't wait for Slovenia next year.

Does anyone knows what happens in case of a 3 way tie of Estonia, Israel and Serbia? I'm too lazy to study it out all by myself

In any case the next game won't be easy for Serbs, as Israelis are definately no joke, their 1st lineup is as strong as ever, able to play on pair with most top euro NT's easily.
