I'm surprise that teams that are looking for a replacement import are over looking CJ Giles, former Smart Gilas , who is tall, extremely athletic, young and talented and a former NBA player. Remember he is our first choice for naturalization candidate if only he did not have a quarrel with Toroman

he is not a former nba player (training camp, summer league only).

he is probably playing in another country by now that's why.

and even if he is available, its not that easy since a team needs to talk to the agents and its easier to get players from those who have manila-based agents or connections.

I forgot to include that info that he played just in summer camps. But I think he will be very effective here in PBA.

if he set his mind into it, he can dominate games for sure.

whatever talent or athleticism CJ Giles could bring to a PBA team could be greatly outweighed by the distractions and bad influence he could bring with his off-court activities which so much goes to the extreme.
Even Lebanese Federation and the Al Riyadi team had given-up on him. He was also a let go by teams in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Only at Iraq are that willing to condone his extracurricular activities.

CJ really needs to get more matured first.

supergame by fazekas...as i have been saying all along (even when petron was 0-2), he is a good player and its up for the locals to step up to provide the needed support. unless someone like a young chris alexander or a 6'10-6'11 version of art long comes...

What a game by talk n text!!! Playing with no import but still winning the game. Their new import is donnell harvey, a combination of reggie evans and gerald wallace type of player. 24 PPG. 14 RBG in CHINA. He's undersized 6'8 player but very athletic and though one. He fits very well with talk n text.

not really , coz what he only has is his athleticism. no mid range, no post up moves.

They were scorching hot in the first half then just kept it pouring in the second. Chot's declaration of Ginebra as the "deepest" team in the league is all but a gimmick because after this performance the entire league knows that TNT is still the team to beat this conference-- owing to their great depth.

Chot's being sarcastic most of the time. The guy really likes to play mind games.

I think what Chot means is that Ginebra is deep on paper. They are at least two men deep at every position - the big differences are player rotation and talent level. Chot does not hesitate to give minutes to players like Oreta, Raymundo, or Lao while in Ginebra a 2nd overall pick like Maierhofer doesn't even see major minutes.

i quite agree. Chot downplays his team, criticizes his players publicly-- but it often times work so you can't hate the guy for his motivational tool.

Still no. On paper, it could be a wash. But chemistry-wise, TNT runs away with this one.

if he's already feeling pain at his present weight, what more if he bulks up to real professional baller proportions?
