Ginebra needs a major makeover if it ever wants to go back on top. Get rid of the aging players or players who are at the twilight of their careers. A new coach and staff.

Sure Helterbrand, Caguioa, Menk or Hatfield can put up good numbers here and then. But they are NOT the same players 5 years ago. They are past their prime. The entire coaching staff should also be revamped. Bring in young and dynamic assistant coaches as well.

It will going to be BMEG and Talk 'N Text in the Finals.

not that easy though, a team has to experience rebuilding too...and getting younger players does not ensure instant success. Problem is, they would probably just result in bully trading...

and by next and last conference with BGK - ???... Hopefully, they can give Kerby the playing time he needs to find his rhythm!

On Freeing Kerby Raymundo... i doubt it changes anything. Sure, he's going to be a better offensive option than Hatfield and other bigs but he's a defensively liability nowadays. Siot may find use for him on offense but he just doesn't trust him on defense...

I want to see Rajko Toroman as the new head coach of Ginebra in the 3rd conference. Siot Tanquincen needs to replace Coach Jarencio in UST.

Toroman's arrival will hasten up the retirement of veterans.. and they have lots of them! That in mind i think they are going to ride the likes of Caguioa and Hatfield until next conference then Toroman takes over...

Kerby doesn't need to go anywhere. He will be the anchor of the young players there which includes Maierhoffer, J. Wilson, Ababou etc. As posted above Siot is more focused on defense thats why Hatfield has been given more playing time.

My best guess is that Toroman would coach for the flagship team, which is Petron. Ato Agustin isn't doing that well with the Blaze Boosters himself, although he has won one championsip for them last season. But to be able to afford Toroman's salary, Petron is that team.

This is also my best bet as Petron is very keen on acquiring Lassiter and with Lutz already on board, having Toroman to coach the flagship franchise of SMC is not far fetched.

If Toroman is elevated to coach in the PBA and with Norman Black poised to takeover at Talk "N Text, the PBA would be having three foreign coaches. American born Tim Cone is coaching at BMEG. A record of some sorts with 3 foreign-born coaches in the PBA.

True. Record-tying actually. In 1997 and 1998, there were three American coaches in the PBA - Cone for Alaska, Black for Mobiline and later, Pop Cola and Ron Jacobs for SMB. Also in 2002, Cone was handling the Aces, Black was with Sta. Lucia and Bill Bayno handled the mantle for Talk 'N Text.

Trapping defense of TNT backfired, their down 11 at halftime, with Barako scoring on easy shots. Chot used his guards/forwards to pressure the ball carriers of Barako in the first half with some success but I think this kind of defense is better reserved as surprise package in the 3rd/4th. Lets see if the exhausted TNT can recuperrate.

TnT actually applied the press in Game 2 and succeeded as Barako couldn't set up the plays well and became turnover-prone. Junel Baculi has done a creditable job in making the necessary adjustments that will capitalize on the faults of the press. If this type of defense is resolved, there'll be a lot of easy shots available for Barako since the frontcourt defense would be in disarray...

Barako Bull is currently kicking the shit out of Talk 'N Text. Leading by a big 20 points 57-37 early 3rd Q. But hold your horses TNT is on a comeback as they trimmed the lead to 57-46 with 3 mins left in the 3Q.

TNT making a major run and the lead now down to 7.

If the Asian teams want the key in beating a Chot Reyes team they just have to watch Barako play

    Brownout sa Cuneta!

After a Pennisi three to push the lead to 5 for Barako with 2 minutes to go.

Must be a move from Meralco?!
