This team without Satnam is definitely not the same... I still believe India can beat Hong Kong in the first round and end up in 2nd or 3rd place in the group but after that things will be very difficult for the Indian NT... Lebanon's situation isn't much better by the way as we have had minimal preparation for this tournament.

    Iran U18 NT squad:
    1- Saleh Foroutan
    2- Behnam Yakhchali
    3- Sajjad Mashayekhi
    4- Hamed Beigi
    5- Rasool Mozaffari Vanani
    6- Hosein Rahmati
    7- Saeed Bagheri
    8- Ali Yarnajafi
    9- Sorush Dehghani
    10- Mohammad Yousefvand
    11- Vahid Dalirzehan
    12- Mohammad Yazdanpanah

The players who should carry the team are Mashayekhi,Forootan and Dalirzehan. The first two have Iranian pro league experience and Dalirzehan is a great scorer at only 16.5 years old of age.

India can beat hong kong i believe, but beating lebanon would be tough. avg height of lebanon team is better than India. This Indian team is one of the shortest teams in the tournament. if India can pull off a win against lebanon i'd be surprised.
baffles me why they didn't select satnam in this team. this would be the perfect tournament to judge his abilities.

Wang Zhelin looked like a man among boys during their three game scrimmage with the Chinese Taipei U-18 team.

    Sick dunk!

Wang Zhelin and Zhou Qi are already gaining much hype as a lot of publications refer to them as the Twin Towers. The two will not do it all in this tourney. you have wing scorers like Gao Shang, Luo Hanchen, Han Delong among others to keep up the perimeter prowl in order to diffuse the likely zone combinations that other teams will employ.
    Draft Wishlist:

Thank God we were able to get the win! I hope the Lebanese team can play better but regarding our circumstances any win we can get is very important for us...

    Final Score:

    Lebanon 65 - 61 India

With our center Yaacoub with 3 fouls in the first 4 minutes of the game Palprit Singh destroyed us with 28 points, 8 blocks, and 7 rebounds.

We only had 2 players scoring in double figures... Wael Arakji (25 points) and Jimmy Salem (18 points).

I heard that this Lebanese U18 squad had minimal preparation? There were struggles but the victory was very hearty, thus a morale raising one. I feel that this team will still try to learn and get better for a respectable finish.

Yeah barely... They had some scrimmage friendly games against some players from the 1st division and that was it This is by far the worst preparations we could ever have for such a tournament.
Our goal is to make it to the quarterfinals (top 8).
