http://www.latinbasket.com/Nicaragua...?NewsID=189221 Could somebody tell me what was this competion? I'm quite shocked that Nicaragua was the first on that tournament if Panama had Peralta and Muňoz..

No promotion for the tournament was made whatsoever. Personally, I learned the tournament was going to be held here just last week.

Hey, it's not so bad to pay for Nicaragua... It was the funniest basketball I've ever seen .... Better than comedy..

I should have tried to make Nicaragua's roster - Cant be that hard these days.

Crucial game will be between Panama and Bahamas for the second place in that group. I dont see Cuba beating Panama with seven players. I heard that FIBA requires eight players to be present. Happy that FIBA Americas lets Cuba play on, it would have been not fair to the remaining players if they were kicked out of the tournament.

Jamaica - Mexico will also be fun to watch. We started well against the Dominicans. Still, Horford and Jack Michael Martinez (aka 50 Cent) are a tough nut to crack. And with so second chance opportunities (read: Horacio Llamas knows the nightlife zone in San Juan better than how to keep opponents out of the zone), there was little hope in the thrid and fourth Q.
BTW; Victor Mariscal is a beast. Best player for us! He's 40!

Dominican republic - Jamaica is 50:50 for me.. Just Horford and Martinez make difference.. But Horford will have hard job with Samuels and Ewing..

I still dont get the inclusion of Josh Asselin. Looked lost to me on the court yesterday. Villanueva has been much more of a factor in the past. And Mejia could have been also more productive.
A major problem is the PG for the Dominicans - Coronado did okay yesterday at times but will struggle again against better competition /European guards at the OQT. Ricky Soliver is not a PG in my eyes. Sosa not ready yet and Ramon injured.

Jamaica's PG is a shoot-first,second,third player who rarely passes. Forces too much on the court. And they dont have another one on the roster.
Ewing looks out of shape while Jerome Jordan...scoring is clearly not on his upside. Ffriend injured...
I see the Dominicans ahead of Jamaica.

Hi, Pinnock will play today for Panama against Bahamas? I hear that he is not 100% healty.

Without him and Lloreda, Panama don't have chances right?

JR Cadot instead M.Bain in final BAH roster (in comparison with t242 version)
i just see this post right now. Thank you, that means Panama doesn't have chance right?

Bahamas...breaking my heart. Thought they could come back when they went to the press in the third quarter. At least they only lost by 8 and can still qualify if Cuba beats Panama by the right margin. If Panama can squeeze through with this squad I guess it'll never happen for the English Caribbean teams. Hopefully Jamaica can beat Mexico and we will get some new blood at the Americas level.

I would take Nicaragua over Bolivia.

Love the mascot celebrating after one of the late Nicaragua baskets.

What happened to All-Name 1st Team Magnum Rolle? I thought the Bahamas could beat Panama yesterday...but they missed so many open shots in the end...

If Jamaica advances, will there be a chance that Roy "I have a dream of playing for the dream team" Hibbert is coming back? I hope FIBA won't let him change...well they will probably do it considering it's the US who want Hibbert...on the other hand: Stern wants an U-23 team. Imagine Hibbert changing back to play for the US and...can't play because they are fielding U-23 players only
Ryan Richards will take JA single-handly to the Olympics anyways.

Probably the best (or at least better) players Cadeau and Burros didn't play for Bahamas yesterday... I have no idea why they didn't play.. Also Barea didn't play yesterday... (rest?)

What will happen tonight, if Puerto Rico faces CUBA. Cuba in big trouble, because of the 5 players who left. Any chances for them to keep the game close or will Puerto Rico destroy them without any dash of pitiful?
