Gao Shang and Wang Zhelin were the instrument for salvaging the game against South Korea. Wang was his superb self with 33 points and 15 rebounds.

Much love to Gao who finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. I think I will let Gao shoot more if he contributes more across the board.
    Draft Wishlist:
    PG Michael Carter-Williams / 21 yrs. old / 6'5
    PF Livio Jean-Charles / 19 yrs. old / 6'9

He is the newbie for this team , the key players of this team are Wang Zhelin and Gao Shang , so Zhou Qi just played limited time

Thanks. I was expecting high numbers from him, since he dominated U16 2 years back..

I see, Wang was the MVP when he was still 16(2010). And again if China wins it all, he can be the MVP this year too.

In my mind the MVP of 2010 U18 is Guo Ailun , right ?
But this time I think Wang Zhelin will get it~

    Nope, It is Wang Zhelin

The real shocker is Wang Zhelin, Fujian’s long hyped 18 year-old seven-foot center. One of the brightest prospects in China, Wang nabbed tournament MVP in China’s gold medal run FIBA Asia U-18 Championship in 2010 and was a key member in the FIBA World U-19 Championship last year where China finished 13th. Wang did not play top level CBA ball this year, as the team opted to keep him with the second team in order to improve his body and conditioning. One of the key long-term pieces for China, his entrance onto the team says a lot about the expectations the CBA has for him going forward.

I see, but having both of them at the same time will be a nightmare for other Asian Youth teams.

Zhou Qi (and a few others) not with team but instead preparing for 3x3 (why?):

The last game was tied at the end of regulation and "suspended due to injuries"?

Probably an euphemism for "can't take the refs any more". Still kind of embarrassing.

2 videos from Canada. I see Zhou Qi (#15) was indeed there, though not showing up in box scores.

Gotta say #4 PG Zhao Jiwei is very impressive, no wonder he always doing well internationally; at 185cm/6'1'' he might be a little short but seems to have great instincts and game. Definitely a strong candidate for the NT in the future.

The wing players all look mediocre.
