Thanks CG, I found out that NET will broadcast the game also, so I'm covered.

If we lose it will be a disaster. The first game is MTA's big opportunity to change the course of the series. I dare to say that in this case, the team which wins the 1st game becomes the absolute favorite. Blatt will play his best cards today to upset the Greens, which will be better prepared at the 2nd game.

But PAO has shown an instability against inferior opponents (Brose-Milano-Unics-Olympiakos-Kavala) and MTA is a better and more experienced team than all of them.

If the yellows play according to their real potential....
THEN we can come back to tel aviv with at least one V in our pockets!...
just like i said in regard to our game against Barcelona- "we have the tools to win" ֱ
my only concern is BLATT!(our disadvantage, comparing the coaches...)
HE still didn't managed to Exhaust the potential we have!!!
he still didn't managed a game properly from beginning to end...
but i hope that today the players will manage to play as they should and can play Regardless to Blatt's Weaknesses and Disadvantages( when obradovic is on the lines ,on the other side....)

What a shitty basketball by Maccabi I hope they'll bounce back because it's getting boring.

Pao made Maccabi look really bad, worst of the whole season.

Special reserve for Blu....good call by Blatt to let him remain in the court after that stupidity he did.
Too bad Maric didnt remain too.....

And you call it quarterfinals? Hopefully final 4 will be something with CSKA, PAO and BARSA (and well with SIENA).

PAO's guards played perfectly tonight. But they have only one elite big man in their team - Batiste. I doubt that will be enough against CSKA.

    The flick from the future...

    It will be enough
Exactly, the result doesn't say anything. It's just 1-0 in a five game series. Pao has to remain concentrated and after this result it's going to be much harder. Especially this season, since Pao is having difficulties focusing on its home court. On the other hand, it can also build up some confidence while it can be demoralizing for Maccabi players.

In any case. It's just 1-0.

somebody wrote about mta's "shitty" basket. somebody wrote about worse mta of the season.
i'm a mta fan but mta played the whole season this shitty basket because of two reasons:
1 mta just has his historical name but after the team builted spending a lot,to win el in tel aviv, mta is a very normal/mediocre team.
2 blatt's basket is the kind of basket u can play just having a very different rooster. to play just defense and ball in paint is a so old basket that u simply need marvellous defensive players .having perkins eidson hendrix pnini together and pargo as the magic players , allow him to play that basketball and if u are lucky (pana that eliminated barca, and cska that failed the season, as last year happened),u can even get the final ,but if u have the actual roster, well u cant play that basketball. so the second reason is blatt, who also totally failed the market this year.

    Sure it's not.

    But Panathinaikos is NOT Olympiakos.

Anyway 1-0for PAO, its not over yet.but the greens for many reasons we have posted in the past and one more that as an opponent suits pretty well judging the miss matches and how to deal against specific players,PAO is favorite.
Anyway we have one game which as i posted some days ago is the most important for any away team and especially MTA.if the yellow lose it then they have no hope for F4.will se tomorrow

If we make it to F4 we play against CSKA?
Every body say that CSKA is a better team. Well... They do have some better players but I don't think that they have better team.
Pana played 2 games against them and we lost in oaka arena, by our mistakes in a tough close game. And at Russia we were better than them in the first half.
So in 2 games, in 80 minutes, we were not competitive only for 20 minutes.

So I believe that if Pana eliminate Macabbi (Everything is open though) and it will be very hard to achieved that, then I think that we can take our chances against CSKA.

What I afraid most for the next game, is that Macabbi will try not only to win the game, but will try to restore and heal its wounded ego as well. So it's gonna be a different game, and a very close one. I hope that we will win tomorrow because it will be very difficult to take a game in Nokia arena.

Speaking for pana, I think this is our last year of being competitive in Euroleague though.
Diamantidis is nearly 33 Mike Batist is 35, Tsartsaris 33, and the rest of the Greek players (Perpe Kaimakoglou) are second class players.
Calathes might leave for NBA, Obradovic due to economic problems might leave the team as well ...

So I am not very optimistic for the pana's future.
