Eurobasket 2017

the new head of the israeli basketball association Avner Koopel is want to host eurobasket 2017 in israel.
there are some talks with fiba europe and they will check arenas in 2017.
their should be:
4 5000 sits arenas(haifa, ashdod, hulon, rishon lezion)
1 10000 sits arena (jerusalem)
1 11700 sits arena(tel aviv)

if im right we lack a 15000 sits arena for the playoff. there are only rumers that maccabi managment want to build one.

For the playoff 15.000 is only demanded for a world championship, 12.000 is enough for EC.

I've read somewhere that this same misinterpretation made Italy give up for EC in 2013, not realising they've basicaly already almost have the arenas they need. Milano is few 100 seats short of 12.000, but I don't think Fiba is all that strict with that.
