Aaron Haynes and Chris Alexander are ready to play for Seoul SK Knights. Both are former Changwon LG Sakers imports and it would make the LG-SK games for next season much more eventful.

Can someone confirm which teams will be competing in the 2012 season? Is it the same ten teams as last year?

Byun Hyun-Soo is becoming more vocal in terms of handling the team both on and off the floor. Two or three years from now, I can see Byun as the Sakers captain. In being a point guard, being assertive is a key quality. He used to be the silent and soft-spoken baby-faced type. Signs of maturity as the Sakers are rebuilding.

Just had a couple questions for you guys out of curiosity. How much do non-import players get for salary? Is there much difference between import and non-import salaries? Also, if a Korean dude born in America tried out, would he be considered an import player? Thanks in advance.

Salary varies a lot for local players. Established stars gets the maximum pay for a contract while the rest varies in figures and of qualifications. There are KBL players like Kim Joo-Sung that has a bigger pay compared to imports.

Foreign born Koreans will need to submit an application and a letter intent containing credentials and verification of his Korean ancestry to the KBL's board. Then that player must be drafted in a special draft for foreign born Koreans or half-Koreans.

Not sure what you mean by 'announced yet'. The teams are the same as last year. The schedule has been released. Its here. Plenty of english reporting here though I don't think they've gotten the schedule translated yet.

Incheon ET Land Elephants had introduced a new Secretary General to oversee the basketball operations of the club for the season. Kim Song-Hyun said in a press statement that the club will be against adversity and overcome it as they are making plans to catch up with the preparations for the upcoming season.

Thanks so much but I am having trouble translating the schedule to English. Any tips on how to do that?

I saw the highlights of the Goyang Orions - Wonju Dongbu Promy scrimmage. Jeon Tae-Pong looked healthy and it seems his quick first step is as lethal as ever. Penetrated at will and dished off six assists based on the comments section. Though the Orions is still far from the cohesion that they would want to be.

I think that the Orions will utilize a lot of high key attacks from Jeon that translates to instant offense based on Jeon's dribble penetration and ad-hoc passing to open shooters like Kim Dong-Uk and Choi Jin-Soo.

Sims did pretty well with Jeonju KCC Egis last season. I was impressed with him being a mobile and athletic power forward. Used his mobility to hustle and score his way to double-doubles. That said, he will have to adjust to Lebanon's much tougher league.

I LOVED Wes Simms and as a fan of a team that wasn't his I was surprised and happy when he got cut. Haynes is an interesting comparison to make. Why didn't he succeed in the league? I found Simms to be a really solid mid-range shooter but he's also very athletic and can dunk and cut in traffic well. He was a bit undersized for the Korean league but his defense was decent.
