Going by your logic: pre-season games holds no potential for a starting unit to achieve cohesion? Did I said that the Nets are a lock to win the Atlantic division? Did I say that the Nets are contenders? Did I even concluded their fortunes on my recent post?

What I stated was the need for the starters to achieve cohesion and the level of comfort within each other's presence. Those are beneficial for their early campaign hopes. While discerning the structure of the bench will also be a matter of importance in determining who will be the active fillers leading to sixth man opportunities.

Is this not what PRE-SEASON games are for? Though they are not accurate reflections of the team's assessments for the season, they do set the tone for the season. The starting unit of the Nets holds potential and Avery Johnson is patterning a bench mob similar to that of

Williams has been struggling with his first step using the left ankle to pedal the drive and during the pre-season games, Williams was driving to his right. The left drive is just not the same with Williams as the lack of the explosive stride makes him much easier to cover when he to crosses left.
